UPDATE 3/26/09 - Radar started his obedience training and is
adjusting to his new environment.  The clicker was not a good training
option for him, as the loud click seemed to scare him more than help
him... lots of positive reinforcement and treats are working better.  He
is improving on walks and we even tried the park.  He was very excited
and distracted with all the people, dogs, kites, etc, but is listening
better and barking less.
Radar is also getting along well with his brother Diego.  I still have to
watch that they don't play too rough with each other, but seem to
enjoy each others company.  We enjoyed the nice weather this week
and sat outside for a few hours in the grass.  Diego found a nice cozy
spot on Radar's head and they took a nap...so funny to watch!!
Radars health seems to be good other than a few tummy issues (I
quickly realized that the training treats did not agree with him).  I
switched to a different treat and he seems much better.

UPDATE 2/22/09 - Our Min Pin/Chihuahua Mix, Radar is adjusting
well!  He has bonded with our Chihuahua mix, Diego, very well and
they play and nap together.  They are also great on the leash and are
so proud when we take our long walks.
Radar was a little insecure at first, barking at anyone who entered the
house, but is slowly improving. He is also very barky and unsure in the
car. Constant reassurance and practice is helping and he will start his
obedience training in March.
His health is also improving.  He gained some weight in his foster
home and is also be treated for mites in his ears.  A nice bath and
good food has his coat looking shiny.  He does show aggressive
behavior when clipping his nails, so we will also work on that.
Radar is just the sweetest dog and has bonded with my husband and
I.  He loves to snuggle under blankets with us and gives lots of kisses.
We are getting to know his personality and he is learning our routine.
We couldn't be happier with him and look forward to his development!

1/25/09 - Radar has been adopted!
