NOTE ** Because I am still a baby, I will only be placed in a home where someone is home often, such as retired, work at home, work opposite shifts, stay at home parents, etc. UPDATE 4/5/09 - The boy is growing like a WEED! He's going to be huge! I don't notice so much now that I have Nyka, the big black Great Dane here- next to her, he looks so tiny. He's loving that the yard is full of water from the rain and snow melt. He goes out of his way to have to run through it. If I throw a ball for him, he'll go around the long way to retrieve it, just so he can splash through! He was sad to see his surrogate mom, Kia leave, but sticks to Nyka like one of her puppies. They're a riot to watch together. As big as he is, he still has to jump up to reach her nose. He's been having a ball with the snow melting and uncovering all kinds of long lost toys in the back yard. He went back and forth all day the other day just bringing them inside and making a collection in the living room. Training was cancelled for March because the store's trainer left. We'll have to reschedule. 1/27/09 - Rudder has been adopted! 12/9/08 - Rudder arrived Saturday from a high kill shelter with his brother and sister in tow. He is a great purebred black lab puppy. He is working on socializing. Loves the other dogs and kids. He loves to play with toys and follows Muddy everywhere he goes. Rudder is going to make one family very lucky. |
