| 12/10/08 - What are puppies to do after they have successfully protected the known world from the stuffed toy army that descended upon the house?!?!? Have a celebratory romp in the decapitated bodies, of course!!!! What else?!?! Here are Shelby and Wilson at play amidst the carnage. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uGhKPS8HLTg 12/6/08 - This girl only talks for herself... she's dictating, I'm typing. "Hi! Hi! Hi! I'm Shelby. Shelby, humm, I think I like that name. This lady I just met is calling me that because its the city I came from (a high kill shelter there). I am a purebred chocolate lab. Can you believe some dummy left me by a road where a little girl like me could get hurt?!? Anyway, oh my gosh, that was such a long ride!!!! Then the car door opens up and we're in the woods and there are big brothers to play with!! Yippee!!! I can run in circles and play tag and play fetch. The lady just laughs when she watches me, but then gets a little cross when I try to get up near her to lick and says this word "off", but I don't know what it means, so I jump again. She seems really nice and likes to pat my head a lot, so I like that. And the toys at this place! Wow! There is this other guy I was on the ride up here with and he keeps taking the toys from me, so I take them right back from him. I have to tell you, though, I don't like this lady's table near where she feeds us. It has this cloth thing on it that slides right off as soon as I jump up on it. Lots of things went crash, but some of it was food, so I was happy. I went to the vet before the long drive up here and he gave me all my shots, which I didn't like, and one day I woke up from a nap with a sore belly that had stitches in it. Now I can't have babies, but that's ok because its more fun to play with grown up dogs! Like me! I'm a year and a half old! I'm really small though, so I'm sneaky! Hee Hee Hee. I tried to make a break for it through the slats in this lady's fence, but she caught me. She threw me a stick, though, so I think I'll stay. Its kinds cold up here compared to where I lived yesterday, so I hope I find a home soon. I just need a place to curl up and have lab dreams, a yard to run in and someone to play with me! Oh WOW!! They have squirrels here! Gotta GO!!!! |
