3/11/2020  Cesar was neutered yesterday and after a groggy evening, he is back to 100% and looking forward to that forever home we promised him.  In my opinion he would be a WONDERFUL 2nd dog for a family. For you folks that have your heart skip a beat when contemplating TWO dogs, be brave!  It's not any more complicated to feed two, walk two, let out two. The best part is that your pair never gets lonely, always has someone else to play with and just have a buddy. I always had one boxer until 28 years ago I came home with 2 boxer puppies and I will NEVER just have one dog again. Considering his age, Cesar has a very manner full, quiet, and composed personality but can let loose into wrestle mania with my two boxers and have the best time. He was very anxious when he first got here ( as in shivering because he was so confused.) Everyday he becomes more relaxed and confident about meeting new people and going new places. Occasionally, when he sees someone new and he gets nervous, he will do this throaty purr kind of noise.  He is not growling or aggressive in any way, he just isn't sure who the new human is.  Normally when I have a foster in my house and they have had this kind of reaction. I usually tell my visitor to not have any eye contact, sit down at the table and let the foster come to you on their terms. Works every time and 30 seconds later all the anxiety dissipates with tail wiggles being the end result.  Because he is tall and mature looking, I have to keep reminding myself he is just 10 months old. This exactly why getting a dog who is in a foster home is the way to go because we see habits and reactions that are usually not observed in a shelter.  The bottom line, Cesar is ALL BOXER, from nose to tail with all the beautiful and funny quirks you want from this breed of dog.

3/1/2020  Ceasar is a very handsome boxer boy...he is all legs and has that silky, deep black muzzle which makes him look very distinguished.  So far, he is very mannerful, stoic (just taking in all the new sounds and smells), crates easily, and acts more mature than the usual 10 month old. He will be getting neutered soon and THEN......... some very smart and lucky family will have the honor of adopting this delightful guy. He is quite the catch and a keeper in my opinion.
