2/1/19-Champ is doing very well at his foster home.  He settled right in and seems like he is just one of the pack.  He is so sweet, kind and so gentle.  His personality will make you laugh every day.  He eats twice a day of some kibbled with warm water, spoon of can.  i always sneak in some leftovers when I have them.  He doesn't mind at all.  He also loves to get a treat  Champ did see a specialist ophthalmologist for his eyes.  The right eye has a huge cataract with no sight.  The left eye is very scarred from a previous injury and infection at the puppy mill that was never treated!!  So sad for him.  he does have some sight in that eye and he gets along pretty good.  He does follow the other dogs here.  The pressures in both of those eyes is normal which is good news.  The Doctor gave me some drops to put in once daily.  The are just an antibiotic with cortisone.  He loves getting them, and his tail wags very happy.  He is so good about doing his business outside, he even goes out in frigid temperatures.  He just needs a warm bed, good food and a family to love him.  He really is beautiful. Think about taking this guy home.  He will be neutered on the 19th of February..
12/13/18-Champ is doing well at his foster home.  He is a big boy and I am guessing probably 80 lbs or so. He has a vet appointment next week so I will let you know. He needs his vaccinations as puppy mills don't provide that, have his eyes checked as he for sure doesn't have sight in one eye and he will need to be neutered.  We will see what the vet says. This boy loves everyone and everything.  His tail doesn't stop whether you are talking to him or petting him.  He is so sweet.  Gets along great with the other dogs here, has started to play a little bit.  No problems with food aggression.  He is a wonderful boy who deserves a nice warm comfy home and lots of love from a great family.  He has lots to learn but he is handling everything well and so worth the effort.  We are working on housebreaking and that marking is a big no!!!  He will get it, time and patience is what he needs.  We are home most of the time now but he was crated for a few hours and was nice and relaxed when we got home.  He was very glad to see us.  Really is just wants to be with you and would make a great companion.

12/7/18-Big mill boy is here!  His name is Champ today and he responds to it. Very handsome. One eye is hazed over and not good eye sight. Very sweet but confused right now.  He is an 8 year old male purebred boxer surrendered to a vet office by an Amish Puppy Miller.  He has been a farm dog since retired from breeding. He is friendly and social with people of all ages and other dogs. We do not have any cat history. More updates soon!
