5/19/19-Ed had to move foster homes as he and one of the dogs in the other foster home just couldn’t get along.  He has been settling in nicely to our home since Wednesday night.  He was a bit unsure when he arrived with our extra large resident boxer (95lbs) but they now keep to themselves when in the house and the yard. Ed LOVES walks. If you touch his leash he is at your side wanting to go explore. Ed and our boxer walk beautifully side by side on walks. He is curious in the house and loves being out in the yard sniffing everything. He doesn't love getting in his crate but once he is in there with a kong he is content. We have also left him out twice for a small amount of time and are quite confident he wouldn't bother a thing in the house. He very much prefers to sleep in bed with someone at night and he is so small you barely notice him. We have seen a couple energy bursts with zoomies in the yard. He also just adores people - is happy when anyone comes in the house and wiggles whenever another person is in sight on a walk. He would likely do best in a house with a calmer dog as he does not seem to be interested in "normal" dog play but he is generally tolerant. Ed is a snugglebug and a sweetheart!

5/7/19-Here is some background info on Ed. He was seized by animal control for neglect from a property where he was tied up with a chain around his neck and only the neighbors had been feeding him. The shelter he was taken to said he is very sweet and energetic for his age.  He was neutered and up dated on his shots at the shelter & found to be negative for heartworm. Ed is said to be good with people & dogs, no known history with cats or kids under 4.

5/4/2019: Ed arrived in Buffalo late last night. He rode with me for the last half hour of his transport and he was such a good boy. Started in the back seat but just wanted to be up front, which was fine with me.He curled up and settled right in. He is very handsome-even more so in person than his pics. He is on the small side and very gentle. He already has shown some good ‘boxer wiggles’ and is very affectionate. He has been good about going outside to the bathroom so far. He has met all of our dogs (except the naughty one) and they are getting along fine. He has explored the yard and is just taking at all in. He slept all night at the bottom of our bed and was in no hurry to get up this morning. Looking forward to getting to know him. He’s a really great dog!
