MORE INFO:  Harley was adopted from a shelter a year ago by an older man with a small dog.  Recently the small dog picked a fight with Harley and since then the dogs didn’t really get along like they use to.  Harley does jump on people owner was working with him.  His owner had a knee surgery and needs another soon o between the dogs not liking each other now and his jumping potentially causing problems after his surgery, his owner decided to return Harley. The shelter evaluated Harley with tons of other dogs of all ages, sizes, temperaments and Harley loves them all.  He has no history with small kids, but is fine with older kids.
12/28/14 -I have nothing but great things to say about Harley.  If your looking for a dog to squirrel proof your bird feeders, this is the boy who can do it.  He is also great with all 3 of my dogs, 2 boxer boys 3 and 6, and my 12 yr old Boston Terrier.  He loves to run and play, and is learning how to play with each one, and that different degrees of play is needed with each one.  He can run hard and body slam with my younger boxer and play boxer butt heads with my 6 yr. old, he even plays boxer but head with gentler degrees with my Boston, and today we are baby sitting a 5 month old golden retriever puppy and he thinks she was brought in just for him to play with.  You guessed it, 5 dogs total, and he has been very good with all.
So far I have not seen a single thing that concerns me about his behavior with anyone.  He greets people nicely, is friendly and outgoing.  He is a gentleman when he eats, and although he eats separately from my dogs by a baby gate, he is unconcerned with their being nearby and does not make any attempt to guard his food or display misbehavior of any kind.  At feeding time he does do a little dance with his front feet that is pretty comical, a boxer who thinks he's Fred Astare.  Once you put his food down, he eats until every morsel is gone.
He is going to make an awesome addition to someone's family, whether it's a family of 1 or 10, he's up for the challenge.

12/23/14 - Merry Christmas from Harley who arrived into rescue today thanks to 2 very special people who took time out of their busy day to make sure that Harley was in a warm foster home for the Christmas Holiday.  What a really nice boy he is too, his coat is soft, silky, and very colorful brindle with white feet, chest and muzzle and white markings around his neck.  He responds with wiggle butts and little kisses and seems totally undisturbed that the other dogs in the house hold are close by but seperated by a baby gate while he relaxes and settles into his new surroundings.
After eating his dinner of Sweet Potato and Bison with a dash of Tuna, he has settled down on a dog bed in front of the fireplace and is currently snoozing while I type up his first update.  So please check back with us in a few days as we learn more about this very handsome boy.
