9/17/19-Leon has been decompressing in our home since Sunday afternoon. He is definitely on the road to understanding he is in a safe space but is not there yet. Leon is a big snuggler and just wants to hang right by your side! He is content with being pet but will give you nonstop kisses if you aren’t paying enough attention :) He has a great temperament with our resident boxer and they have played together nicely a few times. He also seems quite interested in squeaker toys but isn’t too sure what to do with them yet – he LOVES balls and fetch. He had two accidents in the house on Sunday but I believe that was due to nerves as it has not happened since – even overnight and during the work day! Leon is a cutie pie and I look forward to seeing him relax more in the coming days.

9/15/19-Leon is a 5 year old neutered male boxer that was surrendered to a shelter we work with.  We don’t know much about his past history, just that he has been bounced around a bit lately as he’s had several homes.  His most recent owner surrendered him due to not being good with his multiple pet birds. Leon spent a few weeks at the shelter and was very nervous there.  He was cat tested at the shelter and he totally ducked and covered when the test kitty swatted him and was deemed cat safe.  He arrived at his foster home today and will need a little time to de-stress and for us to get to know him.
