We receive a lot of inquiries from applicants and approved homes when a dog is moved to the pending
area.  Please be aware that a foster dog is moved to pending only AFTER the applicant has been notified
by a member of the Placement Team.  You must be notified that you are approved to adopt from our
rescue, the agreement has been made with a member of the Placement Team that you are a match for
that dog AND you have spoken with that dog's Foster Home to make plans to pick-up and adopt that
dog.

Dogs are not moved to pending based upon a request or expressed interest.   You must complete the
entire process of being approved to adopt before a dog can be matched with your household.
Unfortunately, dogs are not held while you complete the adoption process (which takes an average of 2 -
3 weeks).  Please be patient, even if the dog you originally showed interest in gets adopted or ends up
not being a match for your household, many new dogs are rescued each week and we have dozens
waiting to come in at all times.  There truly is "another one like that one" out there that needs a great
home like yours!
