4/20/19-Sealy has been on his thyroid meds for almost a week now and seems to be feeling great.  He will not need to be retested until around May 13th, after 4 weeks on the pills, to make sure the dosage is right.  He is an absolute doll to take on a walk and he knows what the word "walk" means. As soon as he hears it he starts bouncing like a puppy. He is great on a leash. His pace is more at a mosey speed than a walk but he enjoys being outside in the sunshine. He will fit in nicely with any family. He has been a perfect gentleman with everyone he has met, both human and dogs. He is housebroken and will stay in bed as long as you want without any accidents. He will play when you want to play, but he is perfectly happy snuggling on the couch and being lazy. He is very quite and seldom barks, but he snores like a champ.  He is ready to go to his new home!

4/10/19-Due to his weight and coloring on his fur which often means thyroid issue, we took Sealy to our vet and had blood tests done.  His thyroid was low so they ordered thyroid pills for him and he will need retested 4 weeks after he starts his medicine. The vet also took the time to call Idexx who evaluated the tests. They said his urine was watery and his calcium levels are off too, so could possibly indicate a kidney issue. Idexx just recommended though that Sealy be retested for those things when he’s re-checked for his thyroid levels. They said it’s possible these things may resolve themselves.

3/25/19-Sealy arrived in rescue from a busy county shelter we work with. He was an owner surrender due to his owners medical/health issues. SCBR was already working on arrangements for another dog coming from the same shelter when Sealy was surrendered. As luck would have it he was only at the shelter a few days.
Sealy arrived on Friday and a volunteer picked him up and watched him for a few hours until his overnight foster could get him. There he received a bath, had a quick meeting with the resident dogs and took a nap with a cat! He is a very easy going, well rounded boy!
He was very well behaved at his overnight foster home. Stayed crated all night without a peep... well that's a fib, Sealy snores! No barking, no whining, no crying but the boy snores!!! It is the cutest thing! His overnight foster met his foster family the next day. He was in the truck for almost 2 hours he really seems to like rides. After a few minutes he curled up and napped (and snored!) the rest of the ride.
Sealy has a vet appointment Friday then will be ready for his forever family. This boy is a charmer! He's as sweet as he is big. Stay tuned for updates from his foster.

3/22/19-Sealy is a sweet 8 yr neutered male owner surrender to a shelter that came into rescue today. He is good with and lived with dogs, cats and kids 4+. The family had some major medical things come up and sadly could no longer care for him. Shelter says he’s not a big fan of younger kids jumping on him but is fine with older kids. They say he’s so very sweet. More updates soon from his foster home.
