4/13/19: Stevie has been with us for a week now and he is doing great! He has settled right in and is really just an all around great dog. He is very well behaved and just has the sweetest temperament. He has been eating ( free fed dry dog food) and drinking with no issues and has no food aggression issues with us or our dogs. He loves frozen peas and carrots! He has met multiple people that have come to our house and they have all been super impressed with him. He isn’t a jumper at all but does love to gently stand up and give hugs- so cute! He loves to run around the back yard and is very playful but super calm indoors. He is not a big barker but when he does bark has a super deep bark and is a great watchdog. He gets along with all of our dogs except one (Oliver - the naughty)and that is Oliver’s fault and not Stevie’s. Stevie has been very tolerant of his bad behavior. Stevie does go in his crate while we go to work but I really think he does not need to be crated. I am hoping to try leaving him out for some short amounts of time to see how he does. He is not destructive at all and has had zero accidents in the house. He loves to snuggle and will curl up under the blankets. We are loving having Stevie stay with us- couldn’t ask for a better boxer guest but he deserves to get settled with his very own people who will be so lucky to have him. We have certainly fallen in love with him!
4/7/2019: Stevie arrived in Buffalo late last night. Thanks to everyone who helped to get him to us! He is a really good boy! He is big but super calm and gentle for his size. He hasn’t had any accidents in the house. He’s been really good about going to the bathroom outside and has already been on a couple of walks. He is doing great with all of our dogs except one (but our dog is naughty and doesn’t get along with most new dogs he meets) so we will slowly be working on those introductions. He definitely has had some training. He sits, stays, comes and is very well mannered. He has had some fun running around the back yard and stretching his legs. We are looking forward to getting to know him more but from what we have seen just in this short time with him, someone is going to be very lucky to adopt him- he is a sweetheart!
