8/03/23-Jesse has been a great influence on Murray and is learning daily.  She enjoys having another dog around but can do well on her own as long as she has your attention and lap.  If you are looking for a hiking or traveling buddy Jesse is it as she is extremely amiable to new adventures.  She would benefit from a puppy class to refine current and additional commands.  She understands, sit, leave it, wait , stay and off.  The last of which is a little more challenging.  She is very smart and enjoys playing hide and seek in the house or yard.  Jesse is food motivated so additional training should come easily.  She is a balanced dog, trusting you to bring her to the next level while also having the confidence to do so!

7/27/23-Jesse is one independent gal exuding confidence in everything she does (except when a roller blades whizzed by, lol).  She didn’t skip a beat while her foster brother, Murray, was at the vet but greeted his return with a very long game of chase.  Jesse loves to bask in the sun!  She goes to her kennel with ease when we leave the house or it’s time for bed.  Jesse is a trusting soul and loves to snuggle and give hugs.  She won’t slow you down.  She keeps you company as you mow the yard and she’s up for a walk or car trip anytime.  I can imagine she will feel at home most any where she is included.

7/23/23-Jolly Jesse is a mover and shaker. She exudes a jolly spirit and greets everyone with great affection.  She is full of confidence and just needs some small manner refinements.  She loves to be outside in the yard, on a walk or playing fetch in the backyard, which she is getting very good at.  She loves treats and easily heads to her kennel with a simple command and cookie.  She sits pretty and is even starting to understand stay although that command is very hard for her impulsive puppy nature.  She loves to cuddle intensely and for long periods.  Jesse doesn’t quite understand personal space but she is learning snuggle by snuggle.  This girl is one smart pup which will enjoy being challenged both physically and mentally.  She has assisted her foster brother Murray in coming out of his shell in just a day.  She is a joy and would make a great pet for those at home or on the go.  She saw cats at vet when we dropped off Murray and didn’t do much. She does like to chase birds and rabbits but what dog doesn’t? LOL We think she probably will be ok with dog savvy cats. 
With kids under 4 I think she will be good as long as they are use to dogs. Right now she just likes to get up on her back feet so I feel as though it’s a training issue not a kid issue. 

07/19/23-Jesse & her brother Loki are very sweet 8-9 month old English bulldog/boxer mix puppies that came into rescue today thanks to their transport & temporary foster volunteers. They were taken in by a shelter as their owner was not able to care for them anymore. They lived with kids 8 & up & were good with them & they love other dogs. You can tell them apart in pictures as Loki has a lot of pink on his nose. Updates soon from their foster homes!
