5/20/24-Penny had her spay appointment last week & everything went great! She was wonderful at the vet and a staff favorite with her calm and gentle disposition won everyone over. She does prefer a window down in the car when traveling. She is a perfect companion and just wants to be where you are and cuddled next to you. She continues to be calm, gentle and sweet to everyone she meets.
5/6/24-Penny is great with kids of all age, is very gentle. She just LOVES kids and has slept on one of my daughter’s (ages 6-13) beds each night (they take turns). Penny stays at the foot of their bed the whole night. I haven’t had to use the kennel at all at night. She doesn’t like when kids go to school…she looks for them, but eventually she settles. We are working on house training & so far no accidents. Penny is a very calm dog & so far hasn’t barked once. She also walks nicely on the leash with no pulling. Penny went to vet today for her pre-op bloodwork prior to her spay surgery. She did great in the car and loved having the windows down. She was a great patient & the vet loved her and commented on how sweet she was. She is only 48 lbs. Her spay did have to be moved to next Wednesday 5/15 but after that she will be ready to go home!
05/02/24-Penny is a beautiful 4 year old female red tri-color aussie (Australian Shepherd) from a commercial breeder that no longer needed her. She arrived into rescue today thanks to her transport & temporary foster home volunteers. She passed her cat test & had a bath at her temporary spot. She will be spayed next Wednesday 5/8 & will be ready to go home soon after her that.
