5/20/24-At only 6 months old, Tater Tot is such a smart lil guy! I think he’s starting to understand his name and he hasn’t had an accident in the house!! I don’t know if we are just lucky or if he just innately knows to hold it until we go outside. He doesn’t know how to ask but that will likely develop quickly in his furever home. He’s not a big eater or drinker but he’s still settling in, I’d really like to fatten him up a smidge! He keeps his crate dry and after a few verbal corrections and a couple of squirts with the water bottle, he stays quiet overnight. He slept for ~9hours the first night, but last night he was fussing ~2am so we went outside for quick potty and he settled right down again. During the day if I pop him in his crate for a nap or feeding, he does bark. But that’s because he absolutely LOVES to be held and cuddled. His 2nd favorite thing to do is to RUN. He will romp with my big boxer boy and has the cutest little intermittent hop – and he looks like he’s smiling from ear to ear! Tater likes to lay in the grass and roll around and starting to like tennis balls. He stays right next to me (inside & outside) but he is getting more curious and confident every day. This boy will do great as an only, or with a fun furry little friend. This fantastic little dude is ready to live his best life!
05/17/24-Tater is an adorable 6 month old white male bichonpoo (miniature poodle/bichon frise). He came in with his brother Mateo from a commercial breeder as they just got too old to sell. They arrived into rescue tonight thanks to their transport & temporary foster volunteers. He was neutered & is smaller than his brother so we estimate he will only get to be around 13 lbs full grown. These puppies won’t be here long!
