11/24/24-This handsome fella is down to 89 pounds now! He’s starting to get a waist line and looking less like a tube steak everyday. He’s longer and taller than my boxer Diesel and his head is massive in comparison as well. Kade is doing very well here. The foot of my bed is typically where he sleeps through the night without issues. He loves walks and does well on a leash. I took him to Petco today to get weighed and he was a perfect gentleman. I’ve left him several times for a couple hours with my two boxers in their basement clubhouse and he hasn’t gotten into anything. I don’t think Kade would be a good fit with younger children. He can get a little cantankerous while playing with him if you grab his feet, so now we just leave his feet outta any fun and games. I’d want to snatch him up myself if I didn’t already have two boxers and a tiny house!
11/18/24-Kadenz has made himself right at home. He is a perfect gentleman with my boxers Roxie and Diesel. Loves to play with toys and will get all of his 92 pounds in your lap! I even left him uncrated with my two for an hour over the weekend while I ran a few errands with no issues. He’s the bestest boy & ready to go home for the holidays!
11/10/24-Some perspective on what a big boy Kadenz (far left) is! Roxie in the middle is 60 pounds and Diesel is 68 pounds. He won’t tolerate the crate so one of us has been sleeping in the basement with all 3 dogs. Last night I brought him to my room and tried to share my bed with him. He’s just too big to share a queen size bed! LOL He didn’t want his dog bed either so he settled on the velvet bench at the foot of my bed.
11/9/24-Kade is a good boy overall and follows commands well. He loves affection but isn’t overbearing about it. He wants nothing to do with the crate though. If I wrestle him into it he will just bark incessantly & will tip over the water bowl which he can’t be without because of the thyroid meds. Also tried only feeding him in the crate the last couple of days but he will starve before he eats in there. Just made a final attempt at it with a bowl of kibble with roast beef and au jus smothering it. He just stood in front of the crate and drooled for an hour. If it’s just plain kibble he’s not even interested. He will need someone home more often because of his frequent drinking and needing to go out more, or access to a doggie door would work too. I guesstimate he is about 20 pounds overweight. His owner also said he is a very loving boy & loves walks, so a good walking partner would be great.
