11/17:  waffles is coming along fantastically! He is bonding great with my 4 y/o boxer boy and takes correction if needed for his puppy energy from my senior boxer girls. He also plays independently and enjoys emptying the entire basket of toys, especially after I just tidy up. Lol. He has gotten used to wearing a collar and being on a lead in the yard, but would rather be free range of course. We went for a pack walk the other day and needs some work with leash walking – he likes to stop and lay down frequently lol. He absolutely loves loves loves to be outside just romping around and rolling in the grass. It doesn’t matter if it’s 25 or 60°!  This boy is healthy, happy and ready for new adventures with his forever family!

11/14/24-Waffles arrived in our home over the weekend and has wasted no time settling in with our pack and routine!  The first day he was a smidge timid but was a trooper in the bath which revealed his soft & luxurious coat!  The first night he whined a little in his crate but after a couple stern commands and a squirt of water, he settled down for a good sleep.  He keeps his crate dry and remains quiet in the morning, letting us sleep in.  He has been so good with potty training and hasn’t had any accidents in the house either!  Waffles favorite toys so far include tennis balls, a nylabone and sticks. He likes to chase leaves in the yard and tonite was having a blast! Watch for the next update at end of the week!

11/13/24-Waffles is doing fantastic! He was perfect for his bath, is eating well and sleeping like a good big boy in his crate. No accidents in the house! And as of yesterday, was racing around with my pack of dogs!!!

11/10/24-Meet my newest foster Waffles!!!!  He looks like is closer to a 50/50 goldendoodle as has a nice blend of the two breeds & not tight poodle coat.  He will be neutered this Thursday 11/14 & then he will be ready to go to his new home.  Don’t miss out!!
11/08/24-Waffles is a sweet 6 month old Standard goldendoodle (standard poodle/golden retriever). He came in from a commercial breeder as he just got too old to sell. He arrived safely into rescue today thanks to his transport & overnight volunteers. We were originally told he was hoing to be a “mini” size but when we saw how big he is already we knew he is definitely not a mini! Lol We estimate he will be about 70 lbs full grown.
