2/21/25-Sofia walks nicely on a lead and is completely housebroken not one accident. We have discovered that she likes to eat in her crate( it might be what she was used to).  She sleeps all night on my bed snuggled up with one of the other dogs, she’s learning to snuggle her humans. You couldn’t find a sweeter baby!  She would love a family to spend time with her, that is when she starts to come out of her shell. She’s going to make a wonderful addition to any family.

2/17/25-Sophia is doing great. Sleeps alongside me every night. I think she may have accidentally kissed both each me and my husband over the week. She likes to sniff our face a little bit but kissing isn’t her thing usually   I just don’t think it’s something she’s used to.  She gets along great with all of our doggies.  She is going to need somebody who is patient with her as she is slowly adjusting to life outside the breeder, but she is moving forward. She is the best dog though, we haven’t had one accident. She’s really doing well eating she prefers to eat in her crate I believe that’s probably what she’s used to. She’ll sleep by you all night long and not asked to get up once if you can get her up on the couch next to you. She’ll stay there with you for the longest time. She’s just still a little scaredy-cat. She’s finally hanging out with the pack when they’re completely loose in the house rather than hiding under the bed. She’s a very special little girl.

2/10/25-Sophia is coming out of her shell and appears to be younger than originally thought. She is just very laid-back lady who would love to spend her days and nights with her new home. She enjoys being by your side.

2/6/25-Sophia Loren was spayed yesterday and is doing great. She was the perfect patient and becoming more beautiful everyday.  She is now ready for her new home!

2/5/25-Post spay .. we may or may not have stopped to get her some nuggies so she could have a little treat later tonight. Lol For never having ridden in a car before she rides like a pro. She was the most perfect patient. The vet tech felt the need to school all of the owners about their dogs jumping going crazy in the crate doing this and doing that and here I went in and got the most perfect little girl out of all of them to take home with me. She doesn’t do any of that. She’s so good.  I agree she may be between 2 to 3 years old if that. It is very possible the breeder gave us wrong date of birth & lady never tells her real age! LOL  She had a couple little licks of some raspberry yogurt and then she went upstairs to take a nap.

2/3/25-Sofia adores her foster siblings and is as sweet as could be.

1/29/25-Sofia is doing well & eating well. She loves ground beef and rice with a little canned pumpkin. Plus she loves Cracker Barrel Swiss cheese! Lol She ate the best by far this morning. She sleeps all night on the bed with me like she’s been here forever. She’s a sweet girl but currently is hand shy & skittish but she’s coming out of her shell a little bit more every day. I don’t feel she looks 6 years old either & will definitely see what the 2nd vet thinks after the examination.

1/26/25-Sophia Loren here. I’ve got a new Valentine’s Day collar and I’ve got a new sweater and I just warmed my way into this family.
Sofia is currently very skittish but super sweet. She’s so thin but wouldn’t eat her breakfast this morning but she was very interested in some cheese and treats. We will get her filled out soon!

01/24/25-Sofia Loren is a gorgeous & sweet 6 year old female boxer that came in today from a commercial breeder along with Sam & Saige as they just didn’t need them anymore. She arrived safely into rescue tonight thanks to her transport & overnight foster volunteers. She very underweight but no medical issues noted at her incoming vet exam. Though based on her date of birth we were given she is 6 years old, the vet said her teeth look great & they thought she looks more like she is only around 2. We also noticed she isn’t grey like most boxers get around 4-5 years old. We will get a second opinion when she is spayed on Wednesday 2/5. Once she is spayed Sofia will be ready to go to her new home
