4/3/25-Sydney has been with us this week as his foster mother had another commitment. He is doing well. He is still very shy with us, but every day we see him gaining a little more confidence . He used to shy away, now he might turn away but then comes over
to us. I pick him up and have him in the chair with me. He stays with me until I move him. He is eating well, goes into his crate without issue and sleeps all night. He is house trained & no accidents.  Also nothing chewed up!
Leash trained we are working on it. At first he wasn’t too responsive when we would greet him but now he is all wiggles when we speak to him. He has a couple of soft toys he chews on at night while we watch tv. I played with him out in the yard yesterday. I had 4 doggie tennis balls. He didn’t get the concept of chasing them, but we will work on that. He is a happy boy and needs a family of his own!

3/28/25-Sydney is doing great & we can’t believe no one has scooped up this happy little guy! Today he moved to a foster home in NH as his foster mom needed a little break from fostering.  Don’t lose out on Sydney!

3/13/25-Sydney has really come into himself this past week and has become a very active,  playful puppy who absolutely loves running around my fenced yard with my boxer girl and Boston terrier boy. He’s mastered the deck stairs and it opened up a whole new world for him. He also loves to run up and down the fence  with the dogs next door as a  great outlet for his energy. This boy would adapt well to neighborhood walks and long hikes and activities.

He also loves to cuddle up next to me in a chair and take a nap. And while potty training is coming along,  it’s still a work in progress,  but he’s really starting to get it.
Now although he can be shy when he first meets you,  he warms up quickly and thrives on positive reinforcement techniques. He just loves being told how cute he is and how incredibly smart he is. He’s got an incredible wiggle butt that he loves to practice that makes you laugh. He shows incredible potential as an agility dog in the future.
So is this bundle of energy your next best friend?

3/3/25-Yahoo, Sydney finally ate a full meal tonight. Unlike so many commercial breeder release dogs who like to eat in private, I do need to be close by for him to finish. He is such a good boy & a spunky little guy.

3/2/25-Hi everyone, introducing Sydney! His lucky day is going to be your lucky day as well. He’s a very sweet boy who is trying to figure out this whole new world he’s entered into. He’s very happy in his crate and goes right into it, but hasn’t sampled the dog cookies in it yet, although he did nose a toy into a corner, then proceeded to rest his nose on it . That was so sweet. So check back soon as we get to him better.

02/28/25-Sydney is a very handsome & sweet 7 month old mini aussie (miniature Australian Shepherd). He came in to rescue tonight from a commercial breeder as he just got too old to sell . Thank you to his transport & overnight volunteers. He is healthy except for being about 5lbs overweight. He is being neutered on Thursday 3/6 & will be ready to go home soon after that.
