5/24/25-Magnolia is such a silly girl, still learning how to play! She bit my dogs cheek yesterday a little too hard but it was just overplaying since she’s still learning- an absolute accident. She appears to have some back or hip pain or really weak back legs (common for an overbred English bulldog unfortunately & lack of activity in mill) so I’ve been making sure we take at least two short walks a day and I’ve been giving her joint support supplements that my bulldog Delilah is on. Her right ear still has some gunk but is clearing up with the daily drops. Aside from those few little things, she’s been so great and easy. Eats like a champ in typical bully fashion. She’s unbothered by other dogs and cats – she does like to play with my bulldog a lot though.
Potty training is going well, right now she’s got to go out every 2 hours or so and she won’t have any accidents in the house. She’s unbothered by my cat and doing better and better at leash walking daily. Typical bulldog & likes just short quick walks and will let you know when done. Lol. She does not love being shut in her crate but will go in as needed. She will cry at first and then calm down. She will walk in it sometimes freely though as I feel she finds it as a safe spot at the same time. She loves sleeping on the couch with my dog.
5/16/25-Magnolia is so sweet and doing so well. She’s slowly learning stairs (I have a few to get in and out of the house) and she’s loving my dog Delilah! Walks pretty good on a leash until she’s sick of it then she lets you know hahah. Eating good and drinking plenty! She does seem a tiny bit bothered by her back leg, she’s walking on it seemingly fine though just chewing at occasionally it in the same spot. I’ll keep monitoring as I’ve only had her a few days and she just started doing it yesterday. But aside from that everything is going great and she’s doing so well! These foster dogs are incredible.
05/13/25-Magnolia is a very sweet 5 year old female English Bulldog from a commercial breeder as they were just done breeding her. She arrived safely into rescue today thanks to her transport volunteers. She had a dental cleaning & is being treated for yeast in her ears. More updates soon from her foster home. This girl is going to go home fast!
