5/24/25-It’s hard to believe Charlotte has been here over a week already! She is a really nice dog. She’s fitting in more and more each day. She is housebroken and crate trained. We had one accident in the house and I’m honestly not sure if that was part of the settling in or because it was pouring rain….. bulldogs tend to think they melt in the rain! Lol
We did have a few days where she barked a bit at noises but that seems to have subsided and a few instances of barking at company but not being scared enough to hide like most mill dogs do. Guests have been able to easily win her over with some treats. She has shown no aggression towards guests she just needs some confidence and to learn proper greetings.
Lottie gets along well with my female Boxer and male Bulldog. The first couple days they had some “words” with each other over toys but now they share very nicely. They are often found laying together chewing on different ends of the same toy.
All in all Lottie has been an easy pup to have around and is transitioning more easily than most puppy mill dogs. She is going to make a lucky family very happy.

5/16/25-Charlotte is the BEST bully girl! Absolutely love her. She is very well adjusted. Honestly if she didn’t smell stinky like a breeder dog when she arrived she would have passed off as an owner surrender. She’s such a good pup. Someone is going to be very happy to have her!

5/15/25-Charlotte travels amazingly in the car! She will be a great co-pilot (or backseat driver! Lol).

5/14/25-Charlotte aka Lottie has arrived! She is the sweetest bulldog gal! Lottie is retired from breeding at a puppy mill. She was spay in February according to her vet work. Our best guess is she had to be spay during the birthing process with her last litter. Lucky for her it was her ticket out of the mill and into rescue.

We would like to thank Mary and her mom for picking Lottie up and watching her until I got out of work yesterday. Lottie got a good bath when she arrived. We had to wash/rinse her a few times before the water ran clear. She really seemed to enjoy her bath and was very cooperative. She dried off in the crate for a bit, took a nap (evidenced by the snoring) then met my dogs. All is well there. She helped herself to some dog toys. After chewing on them a bit she put them in her crate for safe keeping. All in all she is settling in very nicely.

She is eating and drinking well. So far no accidents in the house or crate. We will update more as we get to know her better!

05/13/25-Charlotte is a gorgeous 5 year old female English Bulldog from a commercial breeder as they were just done breeding her. She arrived safely into rescue today thanks to her transport volunteers. More updates soon from her foster home. This girl is going to be super popular!
