7/4/25-Kingsley is the perfect boxer boy. He’s playful and sweet and goofy and all the boxer snuggles. On the long ride here, he fell asleep in my 10-year-old son’s lap. He did come to us underweight, so he is eating 3-4 times a day to get some weight on him. He LOVES his food and I’m sure he’ll relax some when he realizes that he will be consistently fed here. When he arrived at the house, he immediately met my male dog (door was open and my dog slipped out) and it was love at first sight. He perked up when he saw him and was jumping around excited to have a playmate. And he’s such a gentleman to sit for his food and his treats. He comes when he’s called and stops when he hears “no”. Added bonus…. fireworks are going off like crazy here and he’s sleeping away. Today was the first day we crated him, and he whined a bit at first but then settled down. I had a camera on him, and he slept the whole time we were gone. We are working on manners though, because he did jump up on the counter and stole the grilled cheese crust…. just smelled too appetizing to him. You can tell this boy was loved but may not have always had a good food supply. He doesn’t have separation anxiety but like typical boxer he does prefer to be with you. Although he’s enjoying being here, i know he’d love to have a family of his own.
7/3/25-Here is a note from Kingsley’s overnight volunteer: This boxer boy is as sweet as can be! We were fortunate to have him as an overnight guest. He loves being in the grass, chasing toys and doing “zoomies”. He is velvety soft and is looking for a place to call his forever home.
6/29/25-Kingsley is a handsome 1 year old boxer with a natural tail that curls over his back! He is an owner surrender that came into rescue today as his owner was moving & could not take him with them. She says Kingsley is very sweet, good with kid, cats and other dogs. He is being neutered tomorrow & will be ready to go home soon after. Updates soon once we get to know him & his needs better.
