9/24/25-Hi! I’m Lucy. I sleep through the night, I never go to the bathroom in the house, and I love car rides, snuggles, and bootie scratches.
I also love to stop & smell the flowers.  I have lots of nice friends so my adoption fee is also partially sponsored to help me get to a new home! Can we go on adventures together?

8/31/25-Lucy is not too skinny anymore she’s really filled out. She loves meal time and treats, and if you’re going for a ride in the car she wants to be there. She is bulldog in the front boxer in the back, and so fun to hang out and play with.

8/23/25-Lucy is still living her best life soaking up the end of summer by enjoying every ray of sunshine. She has gained ten pounds, and a whole lot of confidence. She is playing with toys now (she especially enjoys her red gorilla). She loves hanging with her foster siblings, playing outside, and going for walks and car rides. She is still looking for her furever home and has lots of snuggles to give!

8/1/25-Lucy is enjoying her time with her foster pack, but is still waiting for her furever home. She is a total sweetheart. Even though she’s only part boxer, she is a full fledged member of the wiggle butt club! She loves to eat and snack, and sleep. She’s great with kids and other dogs, and she gives the best welcome home greetings.

7/24/25-We did another cat test today with Lucy.  She ran into the room and barked at the cats, but didn’t chase when they ran away. She wasn’t aggressive & didn’t want to eat them, but she would have “played” had they been interested. Unfortunately with the barking reaction both times we cat tested her, we just don’t feel comfortable placing her with cats.  She is not living with cats in her foster home to get a longer-term full cat test that we feel she would need based on her reactions both times.

7/19/25-A little more information on Miss Lucy. She isn’t super high energy. She’s actually a champion napper, but she’s always willing to go for a walk.  She’s currently living with a male boxer, and two beagle mixes, and she has been fully welcomed into the pack. No food aggression,  she knows basic commands, and responds to her name. She’s super sweet, sleeps through the night, and does all her private lady business outside. She’s a changed dog, no longer scared and stressed, just chilling with the pack. I’m so happy to see her transformation. She also loves car rides!  She is now ready to go to her new home & I highly recommend adding her to your pack or as an only dog!

7/16/25-Miss Lucy is living her best life. She loves cuddles, walks, and blue buffalo pepperoni sticks. She’s fully potty trained, is a good walker, and even knows a few commands. We are working on getting a few pounds on her so she can fill out her bikini this summer.

715/25-Comments from her temporary foster spot: “Lucy was amazing to host while she waited for transport. The whole house could agree, if we were to have a foster fail, she’d be the one. Lucy saw the cat once and immediately ran after him while barking. It was normal curiosity and excitement, but too soon to say if we be good with cats.”

7/12/25-Lucy was spayed yesterday & did great & arrived to her official foster home today. Thank you to all her temporary spots & transport volunteers!  Updates soon as she settles in & she will be ready to go to her new home soon!

7/10/25-Meet this week’s temp house guest at her 2nd stop before her journey to her foster home.  This sweetie took all of 15 minutes to warm up and make herself at home. She’s pint sized, with big personality, a total goofball! Stay tuned for updates and details about this sweet pup.

7/9/25-Lucy is doing great already & is spending 2 nights here.  She is very sweet & wants to be right next to you.  She heard my neighbors outside & did bark.  She loved her little spray down with the hose.  She is walking in & out of her crate.  She follows me everywhere & is a snorer! Lol  No accidents in the house, a food and water grazer, perfect on leash and goes in her crate without issue.

7/8/25-Lucy is a sweet about 5 year old that was a stray to a shelter we work with & no one claimed her. We think she is an English Bulldog/boxer mix & she was used for breeding & no longer useful.  Her back is arched like she was probably kept in cramped cage. Poor girl! She got along great with the dog she met at the shelter too. Lucy arrived today thanks to her transport volunteer Kristen. She will be spayed this Friday 7/11 & move to her foster home on Saturday. Once we get to know her a little better too she will be ready to go to her new home.
