8/29/25-Hi everyone, Don’t I look absolutely gorgeous thanks to Ashley at Love Your Dog!? Ashley said she would give you a discount off my first groom if you live in the Lockport,NY area.  I had fun watching all the other dogs that were getting groomed too.  It was a regular grooming party. I can’t believe my cockapoo cuteness hasn’t got you to apply yet! 

8/21/25-Charloo has come a long way since her first day in the rescue.   She greets you with one leg raised and will expose her belly for you to rub.  Her tail wags everytime she sees you. She runs outside in the morning along with the other dogs. Charloo knows her name and is the first one in line for the morning handout of cooked chicken.   Charloo almost made it to the top of our stairs before she decided to turn around.   She will come to you for attention and will sit in your lap for a short period of time.  Charloo is very docile and does not object to being in a gated area around her crate.  Right now she prefers to be in the house more than the outside.   She still needs time to get used to new people.   Charloo let my 5 year old grand daughter pet her.  She is learning how to walk on a leash and to go outside to do her business.   This sweet girl is available now but don’t wait too long! 

8/4/25-Charloo is starting to become more comfortable in her new surroundings.  She now will sit in our laps for longer periods of time.  Charloo even made a little noise to get my attention to pick her up.  So cute!  One of the neighbors set off 2 loud fireworks that scared her.  She ran and hid near my husband for protection so she definitely is trusting us now.  She slept under the bed in one of the dog beds near our other dogs.  Fyi on her 1 eye, the vet did some testing & said she sees fine now & is only the one eye with cataract starting, so don’t let this hold you back! She is very sweet & ready for her furever home.

8/2/25-Charloo is very docile and will make a great addition to your family.  She is starting to get a little more adventurous.  She is spending more time out of her bed and coming to get some attention.  Her tail wags sound like a drum beating on her bed. Are you looking for a laid back – go with the flow girl? Charloo is so sweet. She is a quiet girl – greets you with a tail wag. Get your applications in for this sweet girl fast as she won’t be here long!

7/30/25-Charloo’s spay went well & she is home recovering.  
 
7/29/25-Charloo had her pre-spay vet visit today & it went well. She has already gained 1 pound. We had her eyes checked and she does have an early stage juvenile cataract in her left eye.  It’s an inherited genetic condition causing cloudiness in the lens of the eye, leading to impaired vision and potentially blindness in the future.  
 
7/28/25-Charloo is enjoying the backyard.   She will go up and down the back porch stairs by herself.   But once inside, she will go directly to a dog bed.  She only will stay a short time on my lap before she jumps down and goes to her bed.  Charloo does not interact with her foster siblings yet (3 dogs and 2 cats) & currently shys away from new people. She met my 5 yr old granddaughter but was very afraid to greet her.  Charloo will need more time to overcome her fears. She will do her business outside and eats ok.  The good news is that this afternoon,  Charloo greeted me with a tail wag and she walked to me! Baby steps.

7/26/25-Charloo is extremely withdrawn this morning.   She went outside to do her business and she walked inside the door straight into a safe spot.  Time and lots of love and cuddles will help heal what she has been missing the first 2 years of her life.

07/25/25-Charloo is a sweet but very shy right now, 2 year old chocolate colored female cockapoo (miniature poodle/cocker spaniel). She came in today from a commercial breeder as they just didn’t need her anymore. She arrived safely into rescue thanks to her transport volunteers. She has Lyme disease that she is being treated for with antibiotics & the initial vet check noted a juvenile cataract in her eye.  We will get a second check on her eye when she has her pre-spay vet appointment next Tuesday 7/29.  She is being spayed next Wednesday 7/30 & once we get to know her better she will be ready to go to her new home.
