9/2/25-I took Sadie to get her spay sutures out & the vet said everything looks great. I put the crate back in our office & once a day I ask her to go to “her home”(aka: crate) just to practice in case her new family wants her crated while they are gone.  I do leave her & Bruno out when I go to work and they just pal it up on the couch together.  Sadie loves to go for walks. She’s a great car ride passenger too. She loves all the people she meets.  She sleeps in bed with Bruno and I without a peep all night. She’s so great & ready for her home!

8/26/25-Sadie loves hugs! She has the sweetest, most lovable personality.  She is waiting for her fairytale ending!

8/25/25-Sadie really is the cutest!  Her wrinkled forehead gives her the funniest expressions.  The vet office called and Sadie is heartworm/lyme negative too so she is ready to join her new family!

8/22/25-I can’t say enough good things about Sadie! She is an amazing dog. She’s legitimately perfect in every way. Fully potty trained; just open the door and let her out & she goes right over to the other side of the house where we have a patch of grass and does her business. She is great on walks. She loves all of the people that she has met so far.  She eats all of her food… Which makes me happy because I certainly think she could stand to gain a few pounds. She’s been great about her spay surgery & doesn’t even touch the incision site. She plays very nicely with Bruno. She loves to snuggle up on the couch. She sleeps in bed with us all night long without a peep. She goes to a crate when I ask her too. I mean she’s legitimately the perfect dog! Don’t let her age turn you away from this great girl.

8/19/25-Meet Sadie—a love bug who, after 7 years with her family she is needing a new home.  Lucky for her, she landed softly with us until she finds someone who sees her for the unicorn she is! Before you fall for her gorgeous face and quirky personality, fair warning: Sadie isn’t perfect. Here are a few things she’s not great at:

❌ Watch dog (she loves everyone and will lick you to death)
❌ Social distancing (she doesnt think you need privacy—but gladly goes to her crate when asked)
❌ Leaving room for dessert (girl loves to eat)
❌ Playing dumb (she knows her basics and is
 one smart cookie)
Here’s where Sadie gives MVP vibes:
✅ Step Brothers reenactments (she waltzed in, boxer-punched Bruno in the face 3x—and they “just became best friends”)
✅ Ride-or-die (sits like a perfect lady in the car)
✅ Long walks, 5Ks, swimming in ponds (she’s a fab workout buddy)
✅ Snuggle buggling (elite cuddler status)
Sadie just got spayed, she did fantastic & everything went well, and she got all of her shots.  Will have results on her heartworm/lyme test in a couple of days.
Feel free to share…but maybe not too fast—we’re a little obsessed and wouldn’t mind some extra time loving on her! Lol

8/18/25-Sadie is doing great. She has a great amount of energy for being 7! She loves being outside, loves walks, eats all her food, goes in the crate when I ask her too. She slept in bed with Bruno and I last night – no issues. She boxer punched Bruno in the face 3x last night because she wanted to play. He has since fallen in love. Lol She does whine a little bit sometimes. I can figure out if it’s for attention or if she maybe misses her family? Probably a little of both. She definitely likes to be in the “mix”. When we are up and moving around, she’s curious, but as soon as we settle on the couch she snuggles right up. She runs over to my car when we go to the garage to get ready for a walk. She’s a good girl.

8/17/25-Sadie arrived tonight & is already settling in! She hopped right in my car, loved getting a bath, ate all her food, went potty outside, and has been having a good time with my boxer Bruno. She’s exploring our house and is very curious. She could definitely use some manners…lol.. but she does seem to know basic commands like “come here”, “sit” and is potty trained. She’s a good girl. I think she’s pooped out! She seems like a great dog someone will be lucky to have her.

8/17/25-Sadie is a very sweet 7 year old female boxer owner surrender that came in today thanks to her transport volunteer. She arrived safely into rescue tonight thanks to her transport volunteers. She was turned over to rescue to find another home as her family recently had a baby & they said Sadie was stressed & nervous about the changes. Sadie lived with 2 other dogs & was great with them & the owner said she was good with kids over 4 but too jumpy for younger kids (& baby stresses her out). They also said her favorite things to do are to run around, snuggle on couch & to swim in ponds & creeks. They also said she is very smart, knows lots of commands, is crate & house trained too. They really loved her & want Sadie to find a great home. She has her spay, shots & vet checkup this Tuesday 8/19. Once she is spayed & we get to know her a little bit she will be ready to go to her new home!
