11/4/25-Matilda had her vet checkup today & she’s 50 lbs now! She still has about 10 lbs more to go to be at good healthy weight. She is finally cleared to be spayed next Monday 11/10 & be able to go home a couple of days after that. Once she is spayed she will be ready to be matched to her new home.
10/23/25-Matilda is doing great & has gained about 9 lbs in the past month! She still is very skinny & should weigh probably closer to 60 lbs when fully filled out. We are hopeful she will gain enough over the next 2 weeks to be cleared for her spay & then be ready to go to her new home. She is a super sweet girl.
10/7/25-Matilda aka: “Tilly” had her pre spay vet appointment today. Good news is now that she is hydrated they don’t hear any heart issues. They did however put her spay on hold until for four weeks until she gains more weight. Tilly came in emaciated at just 39 lbs, she now weighs 44lbs. Her next follow up with the vet is Tuesday 11/4 & if doing well then, she will be spayed on Thursday 11/6. We will keep you posted on her progress but we will not be looking to match her to a new home until after she is spayed.
9/18/25-We picked this boxer girl up from transport tonight . To say we were shocked goes without saying . This girl is so skinny and her back legs are weak. Matilda, “Tilly”, is definitely in good hands with her foster mom. Matilda is understandable scared right now but seemed to perk up when she met 2 Yorkies at a brief stop on her way to her foster home. She is now at her foster home getting some rest & eating little meals every few hours. She is an absolute angel & we hope to see weight gain soon.
09/18/25-Matilda is an extremely underweight 3 year old female boxer that came in today from a commercial breeder as they just didn’t need her anymore. She arrived safely into rescue tonight thanks to her transport volunteers. She has an ear infection she is being treated for & needs to gain a lot of weight too. The vet she saw today heard some noises when checking her heart, we will have this checked out again during her next vet apportionment. She has her pre-spay on Tuesday 10/7 & then her spay is Wednesday 10/8. We will update on her health after her 10/7 vet visit.
