10/22/25-Eliana feels much more like herself after her spay on October 13th. She is starting to trust more and will now go outside and back inside on her own. She will climb the stairs at night and will sleep in her upstairs crate. Eliana is learning how to manage going down the stairs. During the day she likes her downstairs open door crate. She gets along well with her foster siblings, 2 cats and 4 other dogs. She is very cautious around new people. We are still working with leash training and on potty training. She is such a sweetheart & ready to go home!
10/16/25-I was spayed on Monday. Everyone at the vet told me I was very good. They woke me up just as I was resting very comfortably. But, it was okay since my foster Mom was there to pick me up. She was right, I don’t run as fast right now. Lol I will be ready for my new home soon. 10/11/25-Hi! My name is Eliana. I am a 5 yr old female Havanese looking for my furever home. I am small and I can run fast. So fast that my foster Mom has to catch me when it is time to go back inside by stepping on my leash. It was easy to get away when it was a regular leash, then she put a 20 ft training leash on me just because I am faster than her. It is fun running around the garage and the pool. All I had to do was wait until I saw her and then I knew what direction to go. Now she blocks my route with a dog gate. Cheater! I get along well with my 5 other foster siblings, 3 dogs and two cats. My foster mom says that after I get spayed on the 13th that I may not run as fast. Hmm, we shall see.
10/5/25-Meet Eliana. She gets along well with her foster doggie siblings and my two cats. She is very skittish right now, but once you pick her up she will fall asleep in your lap. Eliana will follow you around until you make eye contact then she gets scared again. She will need time to trust people.
10/03/25-Eliana is a sweet almost 5 yr old Havanese from a commercial breeder as they just didn’t need her anymore. She arrived safely into rescue tonight thanks to her transport volunteers. Unfortunately she just had a shave down (likely due to matting) so her haircut makes her look funny. Once her long Havanese hair comes back in she will be gorgeous! She has her pre-spay appointment Tuesday 10/7 & her spay on Monday 10/13. Once she is spayed & we get to know her a little bit she will be ready to go home.
