10/21/25-Scarlett vonPumpkinstein — Sweet, Snuggly, and Ready for Treats! This little lovebug is recovering from her spay yesterday and doing great! She adores people and runs to greet you with a wagging tail and the gentlest kisses. Once she’s in your arms, she melts into full-body hugs — the kind that make your heart burst. She’s happy to be part of the pug pack here and proudly defends the castle (especially from those suspicious Amazon delivery drivers! Lol). When she’s not on duty, you’ll find her soaking up belly rubs, snuggling into fluffy blankets, and lounging on the comfiest couch next to her favorite humans. Her love language? Cheese, peanut butter, and doggy cookies.

Crate trained: working on it. She sleeps in a crate and stays in a crate for a little bit for the day if no one is home. She doesn’t go in by herself yet but appreciates a cookie for encouragement.  Mornings she likes her crate so much she isn’t in a rush to come out. We wake up early in our house and she would probably prefer more beauty sleep.

House training: Working on it. If she isn’t next to you on the couch it’s time to go outside.

Leash training: working on it. She walked a little bit on leash at the vet after her spay. She was a little groggy and wasn’t sure what to do. She was just happy to see familiar faces and get a hug.

She’s already planning her Halloween costume — though let’s be honest, she’s much more interested in treats than tricks!  Ready to give this sweet girl the cozy forever home she deserves? She’s ready to give you all the love (and gentle kisses) in return.

10/14/25-Scarlett von Pumpkinstein is a super-sweet little pumpkin who’s still finding her courage. She spent the weekend decompressing and resting as best she could while the noisy storm rolled through — all that blustery wind and spooky sounds made the great outdoors feel a bit too scary. We carried her outside for little breaks, and she bravely followed us around the yard, though she trembled the whole time. Once back inside, she melted happily into warm couch snuggles — her favorite place to be! She can hop up all by herself and isn’t picky about who she cuddles with, but she seems especially smitten with our 9-year-old daughter. Scarlett’s full personality is still emerging, but she already shows how much she loves being near her people. She’ll quietly track our movements from the couch or follow us around the house, always seeking a little reassurance that she’s safe and not alone. She’s affectionate and gentle, offering soft hand kisses and leaning in for hugs, pets, and even the occasional belly rub. So far, she hasn’t shown much interest in toys or playtime, but she’s keeping a close eye on our pug pack — especially when they zip in and out through the “magic” doggie door. We suspect she’ll figure that out soon and start exploring on her own once she feels more confident. As the weather calms and Scarlett has more time to settle in, we can’t wait to see her sweet personality shine through even more.

Scarlett will be available for adoption after her spay on 10/20.

10/12/25-Scarlett vonPumpkinstein is the sweetest little thing. She slept through the night and ate a full breakfast this morning. She’s settling in nicely and truly enjoys snuggles.

10/10/25-Scarlett vonPumpkinstein is a sweet 2 year old female Cavapoo (Cavalier King Charles Spaniel/miniature poodle). She came from a commercial breeder along with her sibling Poppy as they just didn’t need them anymore. She arrived safely into rescue today thanks to her transport & overnight volunteers. She had no medical issues & her spay is Monday 10/20. After she is spayed she will be ready to go to her new home.
