11/29/25-Libby checking in saying she had a long day. Car ride to grandpas to feed the horse. Then a walk with her new harness and then a car ride through lights in the park.  She is out for the night!

11/28/25-Libby was spayed last Friday & the vet said she had so many c-sections that her uterus was adhered to bladder. Two vets tried to safely remove her uterus.  In the end they decided they had to leave her uterus & took only her ovaries out.  It actually is a common practice in the United Kingdom to spay dogs this way. The uterus shrinks up eventually & doesn’t cause issues.  She had her follow up visit with the vet today & they said she is doing great & ready for her new home.

11/14/25-Libby had her pre-spay vet checkup Tuesday and did great. She got a clean bill of health and can see and hear fine even though she has 2 blue eyes. She is crate trained, house trained, needs leash work to learn to walk on a leash. She is very smart & has already conquered stairs in 3 days!  She has great house manners and is a go with the flow type of girl. She does whatever the other dogs do. She loves her foster brothers and tries to get them to play by kissing and play bowing. So far the dogs here our older and not buying it. So, she goes and gets toys to throw around. She likes to walk around and sniff everything. She also likes to help her foster brother to vacuum the crumbs off the floor.  If you are looking for a copilot she is great in the car! She has an umbilical hernia which will be fixed on Friday 11/21 when she gets spayed & then she will be looking for her forever home.

11/10/25-So funny I expected her not to eat for a day but she is gobbling up food and cookies and drinking no problem. She loves food & exploring the house. She is a good girl & did all her potty outside.

11/8/25-Libby has arrived to her foster home & is chilling in the kitchen in her bed. Will get a bath tomorrow and a pretty new collar.

11/07/25-Libby is a very pretty 3 year old female Boston terrier with stunning blue eyes! She came in from a commercial breeder as they just didn’t need her anymore. She arrived into rescue today thanks to her transport & overnight volunteers. Her pre-spay appointment is Tuesday 11/11 & we hope to get her spayed as soon as possible after that. Since she has 2 blue eyes we will have her eyes & ears checked out to make sure no hearing or vision issues. We will also get a 2nd opinion on a possible heart murmur heard by the initial vet (often there is no murmur & just stress of coming in from breeder, anxious & noise etc). Once she is spayed she will be ready to go home.
