1/01/26-Capri is getting accustomed to commands and our French bulldog Rainey and her are playing with each other. She will make a great solo or pack pup for sure. Since her babies are going home next week she will be ready to go to her new home then too. 

12/23/25-Capri is a good mom and has almost completely weened the pups off as they are now 6 weeks old. She longs for belly rubs and attention, which makes her a great companion. She does well in the house, but will need some reinforced training on simple commands for consistency – she is learning and getting better every day.

12/9/25-Capri is a sweet girl who LOVES attention – especially belly rubs. She gets along great with the other dogs. Capri seems interested in the cats; she doesn’t bother them, but they are NOT interested in her. Her two favorite things are her outside time, and she is obsessed with her Beach Nut Chicken in Broth baby food – yup, the stuff in the tiny jars. She moves nonstop, always exploring and smelling. We often hear her little tippy-tappy feet roaming all over the place. She gets excited to play and likes hard-plastic, bully-style chew toys, snagging one every chance she gets. When she finally settles down, she just lays her head in our lap and soaks up the love. FYI: She was HARD to get a good picture of. She moved around more than the puppies…lol. She will be ready to go home after her puppies are 8 weeks old (on January 6th).

11/19/25-Puppies are all doing well, gaining weight every day. Capri is a good mom, very attentive to her pups.

11/12/25-Capri is doing wonderful after her c- section and spay, she went home with her puppies yesterday, and although her foster parents did a few bottle feedings, momma is producing milk today and very attentive to her babies. They are being weighed daily to make sure they are on track……and they are doing very well.

11/11/25-Happy Veteran’s Day & birthing day for Capri! After several more emergency vet visits & check ups, the vet determined today was the day. She had a c-section with 6 healthy babies, 5 boys & 1 girl. Baby Daddy is a fuzzy frenchie so we don’t know if any will be fuzzy or not. They spayed Capri as well today so no more puppies for Ms. Capri! She is back home doing good, up and around, already tending to the babes.

11/9/25-Capri is doing really well…small meals throughout the day, a new comfy bed, and a whelping area all to herself set up and ready to go. She is such a love bug too. She is huge! We call her chunky momma..lol No puppies yet.

11/05/25-Capri is a gorgeous & sweet 3 year old female French bulldog that came in today from a commercial breeder as they were done breeding. She arrived safely into rescue tonight thanks to her transport & overnight volunteers in nick of time. We were told she was pregnant with a due date of 11/8. She had an emergency vet visit tonight to see how she is doing. They did x-rays & see 5 possibly 6 puppies & yes to heartbeats, not producing milk yet, all good signs. She will be traveling to her foster home tomorrow where she can have her puppies. Being a frenchie she will need to have a c-section at the vet as it is not safe for them to have natural birth.
