4/22/26-Legend was neutered today & all went well. He also hot his heartworm/lyme test & all was negative. Now he is ready to go to his new home!
4/9/26-Unfortunately the vet wouldn’t do Legend’s neuter yesterday as his skin was still too itchy. They sent him with anti fungal pills & more antibiotics too saying that both should help improve his skin. He did get his shots updated. We will check in with the vet next week to see if he can be neutered then.
4/4/26-Legend is a smart happy boy. Loves people & doesn’t react to other animals while out and about. Legend is on a limited ingredient food and his skin is improving. His poor prior diet seems to be the cause of his skin problems. He is a bit under weight but now that he is on a good food that shouldn’t be an issue. He looks so much better. He LOVES playing fetch and is full of energy. We are still working on leash walking. He is a really good tempered dog who just needs patience and some training. He is super smart and picks things up so well. I haven’t had him around my cat but he’s been around plenty of dogs at the vet and my neighbors dog always talks to him through the fence. His neuter is scheduled for this Wednesday 4/8 & then he will be ready for his new home.
3/30/26-Legend has been through so much in his short few years, bounced around to a couple different houses and suffering from a poor diet & some unmanaged allergies. Despite this he still has the sweetest most playful personality. Don’t worry Legend, we got ya, it’s only up from here! This boy isn’t quite ready for adoption yet but will be soon so apply now!
3/23/26-Legend is a sweet about 2 year old silver labrador retriever that came into rescue today. He is an owner surrender due to his ongoing skin issues. This owner got him about 2 months ago thinking they could help him with his skin. They got overwhelmed with his condition & didn’t have the money to take him to the vet so they knew it would be best to get him into rescue. Legend had also been spending a lot of time in the crate as there was just so much going on at home they didn’t have enough time to spend with him. They don’t know much about his prior home but we were told he is a fantastic boy who seems to love dogs and everyone(babies & up). He seems like he was loved and is very sweet. No cat history known. They think he is about 2 years old & 50 lbs & also said he is crate trained & house trained. He is good on leash and non-reactive to other dogs on leash. He has been exposed to children 1 year and up and is very gentle with them. Updates soon from his foster home & how his bet check goes.
