9/5/22-Lily is an excellent camping and hiking buddy! She walks great on a leash and travels well in the car (this was tested with a 6 hour drive to the northern Maine woods). She likes meeting new human and dog friends. She also doesn’t bother or chase the resident cat at all. She sleeps in her crate with no issues. She comes reliably when called but is working on house training and other obedience commands. She’s ready to start her new life! 

 

8/29/22-Lily is also a retired puppy mill mama who wasn’t producing as many puppies as were wanted, so to her good luck was released to freedom this past Friday. She was assisted on her new life by a dedicated rescue team that saves dogs from Amish puppy mills and by SCBR’s awesome transport team. 

She arrived super scared, but by the end of her first evening was following my dogs, the other rescue dogs, and best of all,she was following me. She is sweet and gentle and is really getting into her new environment and life as we know it.
