1/22/23-Finn is doing very well. He is no longer hiding or crying. He is enjoying playing with toys and loves to run around outside with his foster brother. He shows excitement when I come home and loves pets. He continues to sleep through the night and has not had any accidents in the house. He is a very sweet, gentle boy & he is fine with the cat. Hasn’t paid him any attention. Finn is ready to go home!
1/21/23-Finn is making great progress in the two short days he’s been with me. He is still scared and makes little crying sounds, but he is definitely starting to open up. He has found some toys and is enjoying playing with them. He has also found my slippers and shoes and enjoys those as well! LOL He likes being brushed and loves to be pet- often closing his eyes as he enjoys it. He sleeps through the night and goes to the bathroom outside- two huge accomplishments in my book! I can’t wait to see how he transforms over the next few days as he begins to understand that he is safe and loved.
1/20/23-Finn is making himself comfortable. He’s still scared, but warming up. I came in from the other room, and he had found himself a toy!
1/19/23-Finn slept through the night in his crate. He pottied outside last night and had a clean crate in the morning. He ate all of his breakfast right up. He is still very scared and looks for a hiding place wherever he goes. He is crying a bit, even when I am right next to him. He seems to be happy when the other dogs come near. He has paid no attention to the cat. He just got his bath and is looking more white with cream ears and spots. Not dried quite yet. I can’t wait to get the brush to him, he is so gentle.
1/18/23-Tonight we welcomed Finn, a four month old Pyredoodle, into our home. It’s his first night of freedom and he is awfully scared. Tomorrow he will get a bath and brush and will feel much better. He is a sweet, big boy.
1/18/23-Finn is a 17 week old Standard Pyredoodle (Standard Poodle/Great Pyrenees). He & his 2 siblings were saved from being killed by a puppy mill as they just got too old for them to sell. He arrived safely into rescue late tonight thanks to his transport volunteers. More updates soon from his foster home.
