3/7/23-Moe was neutered today & it went very well. They were also able to do entropion surgery to fix his lower left eyelid too. (Entropion is condition where eyelid rolls inward, causing the eyelashes & surrounding hair to rub against the cornea).  I am able to pick him up this evening & he will be ready to go home soon. 
 
 

2/28/23-Moe is very sweet, affectionate and loves hugs.  Moe is not a fan of the crate. We are still trying at this time to get him comfortable with the crate. We have tried feeding in the crate but he will just walk away. He does well with his foster brothers and sister. During the day I have been leaving him in the house where he is free to roam and seems to do best this way. He has only had one accident inside, other than that he understands that he goes potty outside. He enjoys running and playing outside with them. Moe loves to roll around outside in the snow and it makes him so happy. Moe does not like to be by himself, he will jump the dog gate to be closer to myself or the other dogs. I do think he would do best in a home with other dogs & someone home more. He is scheduled for neuter on Tuesday March 7th & they are also going to look at his eye and if needed and have time are going to take care of that as well.

2/26/23-I received Moe this morning after he was held a few days at another foster home. He has had a long day so is quite tired. He got his first bath and did very well. We went on a short walk afterwards and he does well on the leash. He will stay close by until he gets a good sniff and then wants to check it out for a minute. With a redirect he was right back at my side and knows his name. He was very curious when he first came to the house and really likes the other dogs. He is very sweet and seems to just go with the flow. He did well on the car ride. He doesn’t like to be where he cannot see anyone. He has done well with going potty outside and seems to understand that he uses the bathroom outside. Moe’s left eye seems to be a little swollen and it’s almost as if his lower lid is folding in causing hair to get inside. I have taken a warm washcloth and wiped it clean a couple of times today. After his bath today it seems to be looking a little better. It doesn’t seem to cause him any pain but he squints a little. We will be having the vet check it out when he goes in for his neuter. More updates soon on this sweet boy! 
 

2/25/23-Moe had a play date today. He was hanging with kids 8 & 9 & did great. He is doing great walking well on a leash. Tomorrow is his transport to his foster home.

2/22/23-Moe is a sweet 9 month old male standard labradoodle (standard poodle/Labrador retriever). He was originally bought at 8 weeks old from a puppy mill. After they had him a few months, living in their home, they said he got bigger than they wanted so they brought him back to the mill. Being now too old to sell again the mill didn’t want him. He arrived safely into our rescue tonight thanks to his overnight & transport volunteers. He will need to be neutered & we need to get to know him better then he will be able to be matched to his new home.  More updates from his foster home soon!
