4/28/23-Kol is house trained, only had one quick pee accident when he first got here, but hasn’t had an accident since. Today will be the first day that he’s spending about seven or eight hours in the crate. He has not tried to get out of the crate at all. He just whines a little and then settles down. He seems to do best with confident well versed boxer people. LOVES my husband! He snuggles with all of us though.
4/23/23-Kol was able to get his neuter moved up to tomorrow, Monday 4/24. He did test positive for Lyme so he is on 30 days of antibiotics to clear that up. More updates so on this big sweet boy after his neuter & we get to know him better.
4/21/23-Kol is a gorgeous big 3 year old male reverse brindle (looks like dark chocolate!) boxer from a puppy mill. He came in today along with 2 other boxers as the owners are moving out of state soon. we had already received 3 others from this mill. He arrived safely into rescue thanks to his transport & hold volunteers. Kol greeted my 3-pack of dogs outside before the rain came and everything went fine. Though for safety & because he’s such a big boy and not neutered, we will be abiding by the “leash law” for a few days & keeping a leash on him in the house. He was a super good boy in the shower to get him clean and is trying to settle in his crate. He has access to his dinner in there but the poor boy is not too interested, very whiney right now. Looking forward to not such a long and confusing day tomorrow! His pre-neuter appointment is on Monday & his neuter is Thursday 4/27. Once he is neutered & we get to know him a little more he will be ready to go home!
