9/4/23-Sadly after over 3 months in her new home Echo is coming back today to find a new home. Her owner is devastated as she loved her but is having personal issues & can’t keep her or Charli that was adopt from us too. Echo did have her dental done since she was adopted too. More updates soon on Echo.

5/29/23-Echo was adopted!

5/22/23-Echo’s eye & bloodwork tests came back great so she was spayed today. All went well & she’s ready to go home!

5/20/23-Echo had her check up this morning. She weighs a tiny 6.25 lbs!  She got her rabies and other shots & new owner will need yo get her the Lepto booster in one month. She has an umbilical hernia that will be taken care of at her spay on Monday. Her heart sounded good we are waiting on her blood work results.  She will be getting an eye pressure test on Monday also. The vet says she is blind in one eye (thick cataract). Other eye may be limited vision.  This really doesn’t effect her much at all. A little problem with depth perception but she is very independent and goes for it.  She also has double ear infection being treated for now. She also had been limping on and off,  it was found that it was a split nail and they removed the nail. Finally TEETH- I thought she only had 4 and her teeth were down to the bone but the vet says she has teeth but they are severely covered in calcium deposit and rot. They are unable to do teeth at the time of the spay because of the time she would have to be under. Because of her age and size it would be about 2 months before she can go under again for dental with her new owners. Her bloodwork came back good so she will be spayed this coming Monday & ready to go home soon after!

5/17/33-Friday Echo finally has her appointment at the vets. If everything goes well she will be fixed on the 22nd and ready for her new home. She is a great dog. Not a barker, although Terrian is trying to teach her. LOL She is doing great on her house training, follows the others right outside. She sleeps in a bed on the floor in my room. Loves to be with you and likes to be petted but is not a cuddler…yet!

5/16/23-Echo is doing very well & is little miss independent . She followed the girls up on the bed which makes me nervous that because of her sight she will fall off. She just wants to hang with everyone!

5/8/23-Had a lesson in having a visually impaired dog today. Echo has trouble with depth perception other than that she does very well with her impaired vision. Well today she followed my girl Olivia up the couch stairs, and I thought ” You go girl!” Well 30 minutes later she stepped off the couch. Luckily, she was not injured.

5/7/23-Echo has been with us for a week now . This girl is a peanut. She is very sweet does well with kids, cats and other dogs. She follows my dogs out to go potty but doesn’t let me know she has to go. She sleeps in a small pen . She has a quiet personality, which is good because one of her foster sister yorkies is a big mouth! LOL

5/4/23-Echo is doing really well. She sleeps quietly in her pen. She does go potty outside but still has accidents in her pen at night. She has been eating homemade fresh food along with dry kibble. She is dog & cat friendly. So far inquisitive but quiet.  She loves to be with you but isn’t an a big cuddlier yet. She’s people friendly but like all mill dogs she shys away if you reach for her. I’ve been holding out my arms and calling her to come to me.  She is going to make a great addition to any home.

5/1/23-This girl is doing fantastic – I brought Echo to work today at the bowling alley.  The noise doesn’t seem to bother her. She is venturing out of the office on her own . Very inquisitive! She listens well too (so far).

4/29/23-Echo arrived into our care earlier yesterday evening. She is a 8 year old mill momma. Yorkie’s have a long life span many live between 16 & 18 years. Echo is very sweet and does the wiggle when she sees me already.  Echo was fascinated watching the Dog House UK today! She couldn’t figure out where the dogs were & kept trying to look behind the tv. LOL Echo is also young kid tested (2 yr old) & mother approved! She may be blind in one eye due to untreated eye ulcers but it doesn’t seem to bother her.  I will know more at her vet visit in a few weeks.

04/28/23–Echo is an 8 year old female Yorkshire Terrier arrived tonight thanks to her transport volunteers. She was freed from a puppy mill as they were just done breeding her. She is very sweet & did great with her bath and even let me dry her. Her left eye has a cataract/vision loss & appears may be blind in that eye.  She has a vet appointment May 19th for checkup & shots & is being spayed on Monday May 22nd. Once she is spayed she will be ready to be matched to her new home! near Buffalo,NY
