5/8/23-My little foster boy Elmo!  Don’t let his pouty face fool you!  He’s sooooo submissive, happy and goofy.  Kids, cats, dogs – he will fit perfectly in any home!! 

5/4/23-Elmo has been healing very quickly from his neuter and is quite active, though I’ve been trying to keep him chill! He does this little pounce and bow with my (larger) dogs and while he does have puppy energy, he is respectful of them and submissive too. He’s quite the Houdini – knows how to escape the baby gate no matter where I put it or how I reinforce it. He does make me laugh though– it’s almost like his head is too big for his little body and his walk is so funny (& does fine on the leash). He’s got a serious pout on his face but he’s really very happy and goofy. He’s been doing great in the crate – settles very quickly after lights out and always dry in the a.m. We had a couple of accidents while free in the house but I blame myself for that, we are working on routine consistency. This fun little boy is ready to go to his furever home!

05/01/23-Elmo is an 8 month old puggle (pug/beagle) rescued from an overcrowded breeder. He arrived into foster yesterday along with Scruffy, LiLou & Dirk. This boy seems to have more beagle DNA than pug and what a nice dog he is!  I named him because he reminds me of Elmer Fudd (LOL) – he’s an old soul in a puppy body!  He is extremely laid-back and submissive with his besties he came in with and also with my boxer 3-pack. He was loved, just not vetted.  He didn’t like his bath at all, but he LOVES his food – nearly inhaled it!  He snuggled on the couch with me for a few hours then crated up no problem, and quiet all night.  Bedding was dry this morning and we went off to the vet for checkup, vaccines & neuter which went perfectly. Watch for updates as this boy as he will be ready for his lucky furever soon!
