6/20/23-Daisy is doing great & just loves to be pet. When you stop petting her, she will push her nose under your arm! Daisy eats well & is good in her crate. She sleeps through the night, but only until about 6 am. I let her out and then she comes into my room and settles back in on a dog bed. She doesn’t attempt to get on the furniture. Generally, she is fine on the leash. For some reason, she will not come when called yet. I have to take a leash and bring her where I want her. She will crouch down when you get to her. Once on the leash, she comes with me and doesn’t pull. Overall, she is a sweetheart! Her spay is Friday so she will be ready to go home next week!
6/9/23-Daisy had he pre-spay visit today & did great. This vet requires pre-op bloodwork & ekg on all surgeries & Daisy had no issues on either thing. She does have ear infection in both ears so is being treated for that. Her spay is on Friday 6/23 & she will be ready to go home after that!
6/8/23-Daisy discovered the dog toy box. I now have toys all over the living room and family room. On Saturday Daisy went to groomer & is now matt free and is trimmed. She did not like the dryer though! Lol She is doing well in the crate while I am at work. After some initial accidents in the house she is now going outside to do her business. She continues to get along well with my dog. Daisy loves to give kisses and be petted. Tomorrow is her pre-spay vet visit. After that is complete they will schedule her for a spay.
5/31/23-Daisy arrived on Saturday. She is a very friendly girl – already giving kisses. She is definitely a large girl. It took a bit for her to be comfortable enough to eat her food. She is now eating well. There have been some accidents in the house – potty training is a work in progress. Going into the crate takes a bit but once in it she relaxes and settles in comfortably. Daisy has discovered toys and is playing with them here and there. Daisy is going to be a great family pet with kids over 4 due to her size.
05/27/23-Daisy is safe with her foster home now & is relaxing.
Happy new life Daisy. Right now she has pre spay checkup on 6/9 but due to vet backups her spay is not until almost 2 months away on 7/21. We are trying to find a sooner spay date so she can go home sooner. Once we get to know her better & she is spayed then she can be matched to her new home. More updates soon.
05/26/23-Daisy is a very pretty 4 year old female Standard Goldendoodle (Standard poodle/Golden Retriever). She looks like got a little more of the retriever genes as she has wavy hair instead of tight poodle curls. She was saved from being killed by a puppy mill as they were just done breeding her. She arrived safely into rescue tonight thanks to her transport volunteers. Her overnight hold volunteer said Daisy slept great with him in his spare room and loved the fenced in green grass back yard! Everyone has also said how sweet Daisy is.
