6/26/23-This little boy is so happy to be out of the crowded barn he came from and is enjoying the best things in life – like a soft bed, a full belly, and air conditioning in this humidity!!  He also loves, loves, loves snuggling on the couch with foster mom.  He was neutered last week and has recovered perfectly.  He also received all vaccines and tested negative for Heartworm & tick diseases.  And our fabulous vet also debrided the wound on his head and it’s now fully healed (hair just needs to grow back).  He’s getting used to the routine of the house and is doing really well with housetraining, which is amazing as it’s only been a couple weeks.  He’s a smart little one and knows his name too!  He goes into his crate with treats/food and never fusses or barks.  And he’s a good little sleeper too – I peek at him in the morning and see him lying awake in his crate, quietly waiting for us to get up.  He loves to watch my pack and will engage in 1:1 play for short periods and doesn’t seem to realize he is only a fraction of their size!  This little munchkin will be a great addition to any home and is ready for his happily ever after!

6/20/23-Ranger has certainly sprung to life and is doing just great. When he first arrived he was very cautious and reserved……not anymore!!  LOL. He initiates play with the big dogs here and has no problem keeping up. He knows where to hide as well.   He’s doing very well with house training and has only had one accident.  He’s still a little intimidated by the rambunctious 8yr old child here and all the active toys and balls that’s he’s just never seen before. I see improvement in this daily as he gets more confident. Ranger has a huge appetite which is good because he needed to put a little weight on.  He’s food motivated and seems to know his name already.  He did come to us with an abrasion on the top of his head but that seems to be clearing up rather well with some TLC.  Once he’s done playing he snuggles right next to me or even on my shoulder when I’m on the couch.  He has his vet checkup, shots & neuter on Friday 6/23 & will be ready to go home after that!

06/17/23-Ranger is an 2 year old puggle (pug/beagle) rescued from an overcrowded breeder along with Mugsy & Arlo. He has arrived here at his temporary foster home thanks to his transport volunteers. He was a good passenger in the car and is adjusting to the finer things in life like beds, food, treats, toys etc. He is very sweet & definitely a cutie! We are working on getting him to the vet for his checkup, shots & neuter. He also has an unhealed wound on top of his head breeder said was from him hitting/.rubbing his head against top of cage(all kept in tiny wire cages).  More updates soon.
