8/10/23-Oatmeal is recovering well from his neuter and hernia surgery. Both suture sites are healing nicely. It’s been hard to keep him from running around. He must be feeling much better because he wants to play and say hi to everyone. He does a cute trick that if you raise your hands he raises his front paws too. He can really keep his balance very well-Cirque du Soleil would be jealous! He likes playing with toys. He is a nosy little guy as he likes to watch what everyone is doing. His hair is growing in and curl pattern is a little more poodle like but is nice and soft. He will be a fluffy dog in no time! Oatmeal is a very sweet and loving boy. He has been adjusting well and is still a little scared at times but I am sure with more time, love, and affection from his forever family he will be the best companion. Everyone is missing on this great compact mini doodle boy!
8/03/23-Oatmeal loves being outside running in the yard. He loves to run back in forth between us and jumps as he gets closer. He can really jump high and can balance well on his back legs to get our attention. He jumps on the bed at night ready to sleep. He sleeps through the night in bed with us. He is doing well with his crate training when we have to leave. He is doing much better with going potty outside when he needs to & has been having fewer accidents. He is doing well after his neuter surgery today & they also fixed his umbilical hernia. This “cool little dude” (he’s only 20 lbs!) is ready for his forever family!
7/25/23-Oatmeal had his pre neuter appointment today. He was a brave little guy. The vet did find that Oatmeal had an ear infection and is currently being treated with drops for 7 days. He has ann umbilical hernia that will be taken care of during his neuter. He is the sweetest little guy. He is very affectionate, and he will follow everywhere his person goes. He does super well on car rides. He is playing well and runs in the yard with our dog. He will be neutered next week on Thursday August 3rd & ready to go home after that!
7/22/23-Oatmeal is adjusting well to his new surroundings. He is very loving and likes to lick you when you are near. He follows us around and likes to be pet and snuggled. We are working on getting him a neuter date & then he will be ready to go home.
7/21/23-Oatmeal is a sweet mini sheepadoodle (miniature poodle/old English sheepdog). He was saved from a puppy mill as he got too old to sell. He arrived safely into rescue today thanks to his transport volunteers. He is a little guy at only around 20 lbs! Oatmeal was shaved down before we got him so we can’t wait to see how adorable he will be once his hair grows in. Updates from his foster home soon.
