8/04/23-McKenzie went to work with me today and loved and kissed everyone she came in contact with. Her tail did not stop wagging. She goes to the door now when she has to go outside to go potty. She sleeps in her crate at night without any whining or fussing. She has learned how to play fetch and knows how to sit. She’s a very smart puppy! She is doing much better not chasing the cats as well. This little girl is very special and will make a great companion.
08/01/23-McKenzie is doing a great job potty training. She doesn’t quite know how to tell us that she has to go out yet so as long as we take her out every few hours she does not have accidents in the house. She is still getting used to sleeping in her crate at night. She whines off and on through out the night but does eventually fall asleep. I have been taking her out in the middle of the night to let her potty so we have not had any accidents in her crate. McKenzie barks and chases the cats so unless she is going to a home with a very dog savvy cat then it’s probably a no to cats. McKenzie is a Velcro dog and wants to always be by your side. She’s such a happy little puppy.
7/29/23-McKenzie arrived to her foster home this morning. She is a sweetheart who loves being pet and loves to give kisses. She loves napping on the couch with her head on my lap. She follows the other dogs outside and has been going potty outside like a good girl. She saw the cat earlier but just watched and didn’t chase. I’ll update as she has more interactions. So far like most Bernedoodles she’s been a very chill puppy. According to her vet paperwork she has an umbilical hernia which will just be fixed when she is older & new owner has her spayed.
07/28/23-McKenzie is a beautiful 17 week old female mini bernedoodle (miniature poodle/bernese mountain dog). She was saved from being killed by a puppy mill as she just got too old to sell. She arrived safely into our rescue tonight thanks to her transport & overnight volunteers. We estimate she will be about 50 lbs full grown. More updates from her foster home soon!
