9/24/23-Reba is coming out of her shell more and more. She just wants to play and because she was just spayed we are having quite the time finding quiet play for a puppy!! LOL
She really is a beauty, and a happy dog who’s tail wags a lot!
9/22/23-Reba is a sweet smart girl. She mastered learning how to go up and down the porch stairs in three days! She also knows how to use a dog door! The best part is that she is learning about play! Running full out, jumping and doing a lot of downward dog push ups!!
Here are a few things you will want to know about Reba: She loves to be scratched behind ears. Likes treats, but not sure what to do with them. Hasn’t discovered what toys are. Still scared of them. She is still a little skittish when you come towards her. She is working on using a crate. Good with other dogs.
Working on leash training. Starts out resisting, then walks along behind you without pulling. Loves to go for walks with her big poodle foster sisters. She has only had two accidents inside, the rest of the time she goes outside.
A little funny about eating. Getting used to being on a schedule. Pretty good getting groomed. Face and feet need someone with patience! If you bathe her prepare to get wet! LOL She is a beautiful girl that will make someone a wonderful companion. She was spayed yesterday & all went well, so she’s ready to go home!
9/18/23-We already love this big red girl! Reba is very sweet & good with my other dogs. We had a spa day yesterday(See her before and after spa pictures). She doesn’t know what treats are. She chews them and spits them out. I know it’s because she has never been exposed. Breaks my heart. She is not housebroken, so needs work on it She is being spayed on Thursday 9/21 & will be ready to be matched to her new home soon after & once we get to know her a little better.
09/15/23-Reba is a very sweet 7 month old female Standard Poodle. She was saved from being killed by a puppy mill as she just got too old to sell. She arrived safely into our rescue tonight thanks to her transport & overnight volunteers. More updates soon from her foster home!
