10/27/23-Sammy is doing great! He doesn’t bother the cats at all. He loves his little stuffy toys . He tosses them around & doesn’t destroy them like my dog does. LOL I just got him some small chew bones and he likes them. He had one but, didn’t seem to chew it so, I got these , I think they a flavored? He is doing better with my husband & not do scared (never aggressive) but he prefers me. I was gone a few days so he had to bond wiyh my husband!! Lol He plays great with my dog, they love to wrestle and play tug. He is good at getting it away from my dog Jameson. He chases Jameson when I throw the ball and he barks at him . He doesn’t play with the ball though only chases my dog. He loves my dog and sleeps with him sometimes. Not so sure Jameson loves him back. He is still having some potty accidents in the house, may be because he is not neutered yet. Otherwise, no issues. Eats good, sleeps in crate. Loves getting his dental snack bones after meals. This boy is just the sweetest!
10/13/23-Sammy had his pre-neuter checkup & shots today & did great. He is heartworm & lyme negative, weighed 27 lbs & is set for his neuter next month on Thursday November 16th. He is on the cancellation list in case there is an opening to get him in sooner for surgery. Once he is neutered this very playful, funny boy will be ready to go home!
10/11/23-Sammy is doing super! Sweet little fella. Only took a week for him to come out of his shell. He is playing , following my dog around and he found his voice!! Still afraid of any little noise or fast movement. He runs away usually to his crate. He likes the cats , is crate trained, house broken except has had some potty accidents when raining outside. Seems to follow on leash okay when I have used one a few times. He loves his little lamby stuffy. He likes my big dog now(at first he was afraid of him) and will try to play with him by games of chase or tug & has zoomies outside!!! LOL Sammy loves me but is still leary of my husband. We had the date marked down wrong & he actually has his well pup check up , heartworm/lyme test and shots this Friday 10/13. We will also see if can get him on the cancellation list to try to bump his neuter up sooner than next month. More updates soon on this cute little guy!
10/1/23-Sammy is an adorable about 18 month old male puggle (pug/beagle) rescued from an overcrowded breeder along with Leo & Ripple. He has arrived thanks to his transport volunteers. We have had many others in past from this breeder & they have all been very sweet & great dogs. He has his vet checkup & shots on Tuesday 10/3 & his neuter is not until Thursday 11/16 due to vet backups. He will be ready to go home after that. More updates soon from his foster home.
