10/9/23-Onyx arrived on Saturday and has already settled into the good life! He absolutely LOVES all things fabric – stuffies, blankies, laundry, slippers and more! We should have named him scamp though as he’s always running around the house –jumping up on the bed, the couch, and stealing whatever is laying around. lol The pitter patter sounds so fun and lively! But like a growing puppy, he will crash out after play for a nice sound snooze. Sometimes he’ll lay on his belly in a frogger pose which is beyond cute! He gets along fine with my dogs but doesn’t really know how to play with them. He seems more interested in independent play or snuggling on the couch with me. We are being consistent with potty training and he’s doing really well with it – no accidents so far! We’ve also learned he’s more praise-motivated than food motivated. Leash training is a work in progress as is crate training. He doesn’t love to be in the crate and will whine a bit but will settle in ~10mins. He’s such a good boy, he doesn’t destroy his crate and he keeps it dry. This boy is the whole package – sweet, fun, cute & smart!
10/7/23-Onyx was my overnight guest, a goofy little boy, no accidents in house and was always checking on Macy who was so scared and afraid to come out of the kitchen. He did get her to play a tiny bit. Onyx is going to make someone fall in love when they first meet. Such a sweet guy!
