11/20/23-Milo continues to settle in nicely and makes friends wherever he goes. He loves children! And they love him! We are really beginning to see the puppy come out.  He likes toys; it must squeak whether it be a ball or stuffed animal. He loves to play outdoors and went for his first walk with the dogs today.  He’s also good about settling in at night when everyone else does.  Put a dog bed or blanket down wherever you are and he’s there to lay down next to you. He is not a fan of his crate and it’s a work in progress.  Baby steps.  Potty training is also a work in progress but he’s a champ about going outside if you’re consistent with him.  He’s an all around happy guy and I’m excited for him and his next chapter.

11/18/23-Milo Day 1: We picked up Milo at 1:15 this afternoon.  He was timid to get into the Jeep but once lifted in he was quick to snuggle up to my teenage daughter; who was more than happy to snuggle back.  Once home he enjoyed running around in the yard for a little bit before meeting his new fellow furry house mates,  Shadow and Kyle. We quickly realized that this beautiful puppy Milo was just already as big as our husky and doodle! Following some sniffing and excitement they all settled in quite nicely. Milo had some food, drank some water and we were off to the barn where Milo charmed everyone he met.  He loved the kids and adults alike.  He was not afraid of the horses walking by and seemed unaware of the barn cats near by.   When we returned home he encountered our cats.  He was curious but didn’t chase. He is not a fan of his crate. Baby steps.  We are working on potty training and we’re currently 2 for 3.  An exciting day for all of us. This gentle giant is looking for his new home!

11/17/23-Milo is a handsome 4 1/2 month old Standard Bernedoodle (Standard Poodle/Bernese Mountain Dog) that was saved from being killed by a puppy mill as he just got too old for them to sell. He arrived safely into rescue tonight thanks his transport & overnight volunteers. He is a very big boy already & we estimate he will be around 90 lbs full grown! More updates soon from his foster home.
