12/18/23-Bonnie isn’t sure what to make of this rain! She had her pre-spay appointment today & did very well. Her initial vet visit when coming into rescue said she had an ear infection. Today they did a cytology to see what’s growing in there. She has yeast infection so now has a flush that needs to be done daily for 14 days.  She’s very good about it.  After a few more days getting to know Bonnie & her personality we have determined she will need to be the only dog in her new home. She’s gotten into a few tiffs with my girls, she’s very bossy for a little girl! Lol  She can be around other dogs but she’d be happiest being the only dog. However as you can see in the picture she does fine with cats! She also loves people & is a cling on with you. Bonnie’s spay is on Thursday 1/4 & this sweet little girl will be ready to go home after that.

12/14/23-Bonnie has been the sweetest girl! She absolutely loves her toys and will throw them around for herself for entertainment. She doesn’t mind the other dogs but will get a bit growly if another comes too close when she’s laying next to someone. She’s gotten better with it since arriving though. She’s done very well with the cats! Potty training is going pretty well for her with consistent outings. She will definitely be someone’s little shadow that is very eager to please. She’s the cutest little snuggle bug and a perfect size.

12/8/23-Bonnie is a sweetie & is doing great at her temporary foster home. Very playful, loving and enjoys being next to you to cuddle.  She has excellent balance when she stands on her back legs investigating what’s on the kitchen countertop (LOL) and bounces up and down like she is on a trampoline. She has quite an appetite and gobbles her food down in seconds – although it is too fast like it is her first ever meal.  In time I am sure she will learn that food is coming and all hers and will slow down a bit.  She also drank very well. She had a bath last night so she is definitely cleaner now. She also slept soundly all night. Being her first night out of the mill she didn’t like going in her crate and preferred to sleep outside of it. She played so well with all 4 of our dogs and had a ball in the yard running and tossing her toys! We are going to miss her! We will be leaving the house early in the morning to meet her transport volunteers to get her to her actual foster home.

12/7/23-Bonnie is a cute as a button almost 1 year old Mini Bernedoodle (Miniature Poodle/Bernese Mountain Dog) that was saved from being killed by a puppy mill as she just got too old for them to sell. She arrived safely into rescue tonight thanks her transport & overnight volunteers. She has a pre spay appointment on Monday 12/18 & hopefully her spay soon after. She has an ear infection that will be looked at too. Once she is spayed she will be ready to go home.  More updates soon from her foster home.
