2/7/24-Vander did fantastic with having the lump removed from his head, it was basically just full of puss.  it’s healing very nicely.
He is potty trained but I do have to be somewhat careful with his water intake and how long he is in his crate but if both are controlled he’s a champ.  He loves to go outside so it usually takes care of itself.  He loves being with his humans, going on walks and treats, lol.  He’s good with going into his crate and being in his crate.  He’s really such a perfect boy and is so easy to love.  Listens very well and goes with the flow.  He would make a wonderful best friend!

2/2/24-Good news, Vander had the lump removed & it was just a small cyst that vet said there was nothing to worry about.  Doctor said not worth sending out either for testing. Vander’s new owner will just need to get his stitches out at their vet in 10 days.  He is such a good sweet boy & is now ready to go home!

1/25/24-Vander saw the vet today about the bump on his forehead.  It’s not cancerous, but the vet said it is best to remove it because it may keep growing.  He has an appointment next Friday, February 2nd to have it removed. If all goes well, then he will be ready to go home!

1/20/24-Vander has a vet appointment this Tuesday 1/23 to have the lump on his head looked at. We will update again after the visit.

1/23/24-Vander is doing great! He is a very sweet and gentle boy.  He does very well in his crate and walks well on the leash, we use a body harness and have the leash hooked to the chest ring.  We brought him to go see his foster grandparents and he did fantastic in the car and with meeting my parents.  He listens really well whenever we don’t want him doing something he is not supposed to.  He is house trained but he does drink a lot of water so he goes outside often (his water intake is dissipating to be more normal now that he knows it will be there).  He knows exactly what he is supposed to do once he is outside (besides zoomies of course 😁).  He has a great demeanor.  This boy is very easy to fall in love with! His vet visit to checkout the bump on his head unfortunately had to be postponed until this Saturday so he is not ready to go home yet.

1/15/24-Vander is doing well.  He’s a typical Boxer, very energetic, and a big love bug as well.  After only two days he is already roaming the house (following me around lol). When we are home he is playing in the backyard with my 4 dogs.  He does well on walks but he is strong and does pull some.  Potty training is being worked on and going well.  Even with being starved of food, he is very gentle when getting treats.  He went through his first two nights without any accidents.  He doesn’t hate his crate but is not thrilled with it, and does some whining but that stops after a short time.  He is a very super sweet boy and listens well.  It doesn’t take long to fall in love with this boy!

1/13/24-Vander is a 6 yr old very sweet & handsome boxer boy. He came in from an animal shelter when he & his 8 yr old buddy Tyson were taken from their owners by animal control. He arrived to his foster home today thanks to his transport volunteers. He does have a lump on his head that we will be getting checked out at our vet asap. More updates soon from his foster home.
