2/12/24-Ginger made the most of her Super Bowl Sunday. We had people over and she was a crowd pleaser. She visited with everyone. Made her way to the sports chair and put herself in it. My daughter brought her dog over. Tuukka is a lab mix and is about same age as Ginger. He was able to get Ginger to play and they were having a great time! She continues to have zero food or treat aggression. She’s more afraid of the cats than they are of her. LOL She went potty outdoors last night and we all celebrated. lol She is not a fan of the crate but loves a couch with a blanket. She does great in the car. She came with me to pick my daughter up from school today. She seems to be happy to be wherever people are. She is a counter surfer so we are working on “down”. Potty training in progress. Spay this Thursday.
2/11/24-Ginger is a sweet girl! She instantly took to my son and was happy to just follow him around. Although now I’m learning she’ll follow anyone around who pets and shows her some love. She ate her dinner and is drinking her water. She appears to have no food aggression or resource guarding. She takes treats from my hand and with the other dogs next to her. The cat quickly let her know who is boss and she is not a cat chaser. She does not like her crate so we are working around that. We are working on potty training but like most mill dogs she holds it like a camel. She has not been exposed to small children but has been with kids 14 and over. She walks good on a leash and is a champ at going up and down stairs. We’re off to the barn later today for her to see the horses. She’s such a great dog!
My daughter is over with her lab mix and they are having a great time playing!
02/08/24-Ginger aka: Gigi is a gorgeous red 2 1/2 year old female Standrard Labradoodle (Standard Poodle/Labrador Retriever). She came in from a breeder farm as they no longer needed her. She arrived safely into rescue today thanks to her transport & temporary foster volunteers. She is being spayed next Thursday 2/15 & will be ready to go home soon after. Updates soon from her foster home.
