meet kate

1/6/21-Kate is a girly girl boxer who is very manner full, quiet, incredibly curious & is a joy to be around. Since she has only been here for a week she is still exhibiting the typical puppy mill reaction to everything. The big black box in the den with the people talking (tv) is a mystery. She sniffs & noses everything just to see what it is & what’s going to happen with it. She is the first boxer I have seen in a long time who actually politely nibbles at her food until she is done. There is no food aggression, counter surfing or questionable reaction to new people or dogs.  Kate basically gets along with everything & everybody. She’s right up there at the head of the pack greeting anyone new that comes to the door with wiggles & little woofs as a greeting. She will make a wonderful addition to any family & hopefully will catch the eye of someone who wants a loving & well mannered boxer. Kate was spayed & is now ready to go home. 

Fun tidbit of info: after she arrived in rescue we discovered by Kate’s AKC papers that although she came from a different puppy mill & state, she is the daughter of Kaya & littermate/sister to Tika who were both recently in our rescue! On top of that it was random that the foster mom who had Kaya is also fostering her daughter Kate!
