3/29/24-On Monday Clover was spayed and had one tooth extraction.  She was back in her foster home the next day.  Anesthesia wiped her out.  She went to a dog bed and never moved the rest of the day.  I woke her up to eat and to go outside.  The next day she was awake and alert.  She explored the whole house.  She’s following me around everywhere and just watches me with those sweet eyes.  She clearly loves people but is still afraid to be held or touched.  She just needs a little more time and she will adore her person(s).She’s starting to follow my dogs. When she goes out she always does her business but full disclosure, I’m the one who’s trained. Lol  Her coat is short right now but so soft and the colors are beautiful black, white, and all shade of grey.  Her right eye has a blue crescent coloring, very unique.  She’s a little underweight but loves to eat.  I’m giving her canned food at the moment with added water because she hasn’t been drinking out of the dog bowls (this happens sometimes with mill dogs) but did start a little yesterday.  She is ready for her forever home.  A home that has the patience to help her over her past life will be rewarded with a great dog.

3/25/24-Clover arrived to her foster home a day late due to a snowstorm. She is so cute and sweet I’m surprised she made it without being dog napped by a transport volunteer! Lol  We didn’t have much time to get to know her but she ate her dinner, did her business outside and clearly told my dogs she was too tired to play. She slept through the night in the crate. This morning she went to the vet to be spayed. I’ll pick her up tomorrow and she will be ready for her forever home.

3/22/24-Both girls are doing great.  They had a late night bath last night and did quite well.  Then they laid by the fireplace to warm up and enjoyed their dinner.  I haven’t seen either drink yet but that is normal for mill dogs.  They also both cuddled up next to each other and slept all night – not a peep! Both are such sweeties!

03/21/24-Clover is a cute as a button 5 year old Shih-poo (toy poodle/shih tzu). She was saved from a puppy mill along with Aaliyah as they were just done breeding them. They arrived safely into rescue today thanks to their transport & temporary foster volunteers. Clover has one cool looking part blue eye that makes her even more unique looking! She is being spayed on Monday 3/25 & should be ready to go home soon after that. More updates from their foster homes soon.
