4/14/24-Meet Rudder! This sweet boy loves to cuddle and play! He has been here in his foster home for a little over 24 hours now and so far is a mix of playful and calm. He met the other big dogs here and at first that was overwhelming, but by the next morning he was cool with hanging out with the big dogs. He also met the cat who really didn’t like him but Rudder was fine with that and acted uninterested. Rudder did not like sleeping alone last night without his siblings but did fine and slept all night when I brought him in our room. Today he quickly learned the word “no“ when trying to get to our snacks during movie night(LOL) and is currently sleeping at my feet. Awww! This boy is so smart and loving! He will be a perfect best friend to the lucky family that adopts him.
4/11/24-Rudder is a handsome 14 week old male chocolate color Portuguese Water Dog puppy. He came into rescue tonight along with his 5 littermates from a puppy mill as they just got too old to sell. He had no health issues seen at his vet check today. We estimate he will be about 50 lbs when full grown.
